Ok so I saw the new ME promo for the first time here on the forum courtesy of Shinus (thanks as always) and as gorgeous as it was, I had one huge concern on seeing it.

I was so excited to see the still frame of NT vs. Geet and was sure I would see some sherni vs. saamp action but instead I see Geet in tears, looking beseechingly at Maan to give an answer to NT's question.

How does that make any sense? Maan doesn't remember! He has partial AMNESIA. If anyone can tell NT who Geet is and how she can consider herself the Khurana Khandan's bahu, shouldn't it be Geet, who um...actually remembers the wedding??

I totally understand why Geet is not reacting to anything Maan says. She loves him and knows his condition and doesn't want to put undue pressure on him. Also she reads him like a book so she understands what he is going through and is handling it in the way she sees fit. But why the docility in front of NT???

She should be like, "B*tch please! I call myself the Khurana bahu because I own 51% of the shares of KC, which my loving husband transferred in my name, Daadi loves me like her own, and your husband, who doesn't accept you as his wife by the way, will fall at my feet at any given moment because by forgiving him for his pretty much unforgivable actions, I gave him a new life!"

With Maan in such a vulnerable state, should she really depend on him in these sorts of situations, when we all know she is perfectly capable of handling it herself?

I know the promos are usually symbolic but that is half my worry. I hope that CVs give Geet some powerful dialogue before NT takes it too far and Maan steps in. I am sick of seeing her shedding silent tears. I want raw, tearless contempt and anger for NT! I am still hopeful though as I don't yet know what will happen to lead up to this confrontation.

Tell me what you think. I really want to discuss this with people...

though i had decided to not utter a word about geet's behaviour... i think its time i make my voice heard here..😆
From the promo it seems that Geet is going to be her silent door mat type...
"Let them stamp let me bear" kind of attitude... Geet was never like this. She doesnt need any MSK to restore her pride or talk for her.. but alas the day has come where she knows only to shed tears... rest left to dadi dev or MSK...😆

There better be some good reason provided over the next few episodes for why she would need him to speak up. Otherwise she honestly comes off as very needy and when Geet has never been needy, even when Maan was in full health and strength, why is she acting like this now, when he is so confused and vulnerable?

Ah, I just couldn't keep quiet! 😆

Don't get me wrong, I love Geet to pieces.

I sympathised with her all through Amritsar, making up long character analyses to fill the gaps the CVs were leaving with inadequate dialogue.

I basically worshiped her during the Pammi track for her understanding and solving all Maan's problems without him uttering a word of complaint and for her adorable, unique way of supporting them in their time of need, ie her sarpanch-approved education project.

I even sympathise with her for being a doormat to all the harsh words Maan keeps throwing at her now after ML, because she understands him and doesn't want to risk his health with any serious fights or tension.

I loved that she handled the clients on Monday and hearing them praise her was the highlight! I really miss seeing professional, capable Geet and was hoping for more office scenes. Today's spoilers seem to promise at least a few before Saturday.

I just don't understand why Maan has to validate her place in KM, when he is probably the least fit person to do that at this time. It would have even been better if she was silent or maybe in the process of replying to NT when Maan cuts in with his dialogue. But she actually mentally begs him to say something. That is really not usually her style. She has never asked to be rescued before.

I just hope there is some very good explanation as CVs have been pretty character-consistent in this track so far...

Me too agree, when Geet knows fully well that Maan doesnt believe in this marriage and has forgotten that he ever was in love with her, why should she at all expect Maan to chip in with answers regarding their love and married life...? Even Dadima should reply to NT ...she has been behaving like a doormat for quite some days...even Maan's behavior is extreme - why would he at all insult Geet infront of guests - that ruins his family reputation as well ...

I am confused with the scenes the cvs are putting up...

Hi dear... i dont think we have met before here..🤗. I am one of the staunch Geet supporters in the forum😆 Thats whte very reason i said i am not going to open my mouth on this coz i am just not liking the way she is behaving... I have stood through her even during holi fiasco... but this i sjust too much... coz NT cannot be wlloed to raise voice in front of geet and geet cannot remainf a ragdoll talking all insults...😊

I have had no problems with any of the scenes so far. In fact, I have been in great support of the way in which the CVs are handling Maan's characterisation. When anger gets a hold of him, and he honestly believes he is in the right (when does he ever not?) he doesn't care about who is watching and his family's honour. Sending Dev to jail was the extreme example of that, but these are all manifestations of the same character trait.

That being said, this promo was the first thing in this track that has really thrown me off. Of course I have been wanting Geet to stop crying and stand up for herself, but I could still understand why she felt she couldn't/shouldn't. BUT that was in Maan's case. How is NT, repeating the same, tired, khoon-bhari-maang dialogue having that much of an effect on Geet? Why is she taking NT, who is worse off than Geet in the Khurana-bahu department, so seriously? And why, babaji, is she asking Maan to defend their relationship when Maan is saying, what relationship?

Crossing my fingers for a very good explanation!

Ahh! I felt the same way...I'm thinking perhaps she should give it to her like she did when NT first entered KM -in Dev's room! Tumhari Himmat kaise hui...something along those lines.. I loved that bit and it actually got Maan's attention as well!

But..I guess she feels Maan should step in...
Oh this kind of reminds me of the blood-sindoor promo back in November I think. Where NT is insulting Geet, and Maan applies his blood as sindoor...
