I feel Nandini character has a lot of potential,a girl whom is from this generation whom wants to study,work.CV should make her join office or show that she is attending her classes as she is doing PHD.

I completely agree! I am still waiting for when she finds out about Dev's past, with regards to the story but also with her own story I loved the ideas you put forth for projecting her as a modern girl. She is more modern than Geet, having studied ____, at ____ University (Fill in the blanks, CVs!) away from home. She clearly has experience living away from home and is more modern than Geet but still not of the Sasha, Tasha brand of "modern".

I also think it is interesting that she was raised in a family headed by a powerful woman, rather than a patriarch in Geet's case. This would have surely changed the dynamic and clearly allowed her to do things Geet wasn't allowed to dream of doing, ie leaving home before marriage etc.

So much potential! 🤔

NT's steadily becomimg my fav character of late.

I love her eyes...they are much bigger than Maan's mote, mote, diwali ke ladoo jaise eyes.

Her smile is evil...but with that touch of naughtiness that makes you sit up and take notice.

Her saree drapes itself around her fits her like a glove...don't know why Dev doesn't notice this.

And their chemistry...this erstwhile couple...or not so erstwhile if we believe NT, can give Maaneet a run for their money if they aren't careful! (As if!)😆

Her Nandini attacks are fun...not that she's jealous...she just loves to poke fun at those who just lie down and take it in the chin.

Nandini, lets face it, is a bore...like u said, she had some meat in her character till the jungle-bungle episode..after that everything and everyone went downhill fairly quickly.

The only way to salvage Nandini's role...which ought to have developed by now as the cvs had obviously planned to keep her on for a reason, is to further Dev-Nandini's romance..which I expressly dislike and give thenga to NT which also I dislike...coz

I want NT around...love the spice she adds to the show.

I know! I think she has picked up an established role, that was previously essayed by a brilliant actress, and really made it her own. I don't think I can really compare them because NT's purpose in the story has changed so much since the last time she was on the show. This NT needs to have a touch of comedy, ie the naughtiness you mentioned, to interact with the likes of Mamaji. Now that she is here, I just can't imagine KR doing the same scenes, which I guess means she is doing a very convincing job!

And she is gorgeous! And boy does she ever employ it for her nefarious purposes. KR played NT as sort of a straightforward vamp (if that makes any sense at all 😆), she was pretty matter-of-fact in her evil plotting but this one is very wily and seductive I love her chemistry with SS, which is created because of the TENSION that they failed to create with Dev-Nandini.

But I don't think Dev-romance is the only way to further Nando's character! She is taking the stance of not getting married at this point and they could easily develop that. Leave Dev to deal with NT and send Nandini to the office where she can interact with people who are not married men, seretly in love with her and his crazy wife. If they send her to office they could easily come up with ways to introduce her backstory. I would love to see scenes with Adi-Pinky-Lucky-Nandini, and maybe Geet too in the office with lots of fun camaraderie happening.

I am seriously considering cooking up a backstory for Nandini myself just for my peace of mind!

She was falling in love with Dev or already had fallen in love when NT made her entry.
Just study her face when she told NT that she was never getting married...she didn't look happy at all.

Earlier, she was shown as a studious girl...wish they had developed it further...not interested in marriage, .then, she was open to it when she thought Daman was a broad-minded guy.
When that fell by the wayside, it became a determination not to get hurt again.

When she repeated that to Lucky, she hadn't yet fallen for Dev. Now she has, around the time Dev was doing his best to look for maaneet and save them from Pammi Then,NT arrived.

Now, she's deeply hurt and is reacting this way. That was what I felt. I could be way off base. It's known to have happened before!😆

I dont know but nowadays whatever NT says, I agree with her whole-heartedly! 😆 She even makes me enjoy Dev-Nandini scenes together cuz I await her to interrupt and put some mirch masala in their conversation. 😳 😆

Really? I didn't get that feeling. I felt that while she did have a soft-corner for Dev because he has been there for her in her worst times (her post-Daman sobbing fiasco 🤢), she hasn't really fallen in love with him irrevocably and I am glad for that. But I do agree with the part about her not wanting to get married being a defense mechanism after the Daman incident.

She did do a lot of "I know you like me" smirking when they first came back to Delhi when she kept catching Dev talking to himsel(ves)f but I think she just liked the attention and the casual companionship, rather than the possibility of developing real feelings for him.

I say this because her behaviour hasn't changed towards Dev after NT's entry. She doesn't avoid him and most often doesn't leave until NT makes it completely clear that she and Dev are doing a "married couple thing". And she didn't seem all that upset to learn that Dev was married either. Shocked? yes, because he is supposed to be her friend and never mentioned it but upset? not really.

The only evidence that points to her having developed feelings for him is the way she acted in the hospital after he got shot. I think this is where she started maybe to have a clue about how she felt but was too distracted soon after by Maan's ML and everything going on at home and then NT popped up soon so she never had the time to sort out her feelings and I don't think she was fargone enough to be crushed when she found out about NT, that is, NT showed up soon enough for Nandini to "shut off" any traces of feeling she had begun to have.

I don't know if this makes much sense but in a nutshell, I think what you are saying is spot-on, only on a subconscious level.

Can u believe I sympathize with NT more than Nandini these days.. she is saving an innocent, naive girl's life!😛 I am not saying Dev will dump her or overlooking how good human being he has turned into, but I am still waiting to hear him talk about his scary past with Nandini. Like how he could share it with Meera! Comparing both relationships is not valid here, but what really made Dev go everytime "hmm..hmm" on seeing Nano is something I've never understood. She's neither ambitious, nor exceptional. Instead, she makes him carry his shopping bags just like his ex-wife would make him do sometime back. 😆

I know right? She is like the honey we needed to be able to ingest the bland, lumpy porridge that is Dev-Nandini. I love her sarcastic barbs at Nandini but would love to she Nando stand up to her at some point. She is supposed to be a sassy, intelligent girl from what little we know of her but that sass all disappeared as soon as she started liking Dev.

I am looking forward to Dev's big revelation to Nandini too. I really want to see how she reacts, and it might be even harder for her to accept then it was for Meera because when Meera found out, she had no idea who Geet was and Geet hadn't forgiven Dev. Nandini will have to come to terms with the fact that Dev not only did all those horrible things but that Geet forgave him for them!

Oh man, I shudder every time the "hmmm hmm" starts. It somehow doesn't suit Nandini at all. The music is delicate and soft and her character was introduced as strong, energetic and sassy so I would have preferred something with a little more energy, even from the beginning. I liked her original music, the kudiye! thing but I think it was scrapped. The music is just one of the many things that have reduced her from an interesting introduction to the cast, to a pretty prop, meant to keep Dev entertained.

The thing is though, that Nandini is ambitious (she is registering for a PhD) and exceptional (she is from a traditional family but went away from home to study) IN THEORY. The script has only mentioned these things but has never given us a chance to see these features of hers in action. That is my main concern. I honestly believe she is the most underwritten character the show has seen so far.
