A very interesting post and u have analysed the reason for Geet always being ready to leave beautifully. Almost always it stems from her feeling of insecurity which is deeply rooted in her past experience. And therefore may be it was Maan's words about her parents and her husband that completely broke her this time. so much so that she is again compelled to leave the house. Although she says it is because she is doing this for Maan she has that insecurity in the bottom of her heart and at the back of her mind which always makes her run away. And she cannot be blamed for doing so when we consider what all she has gone thru at a tender age of 18. Wonder if she will ever get over this feeling.

And, you are so right to point out that she is only 18; we tend to forget how young she still is, and how much she has had to go through for being so young.

As for getting over this feeling, I think it will go away naturally the more time she spends being MSK's wife and living with him like a normal married couple. She has honestly not had a chance to do this since they got married. Every time they settle into a domestic routine (fans complain the show is boring) and life (CVs) gives them a huge jolt: Dev, MC, Amritsar, bankruptcy, and now ML.

I thought I saw traces of her getting over it during bankruptcy, actually because she and Maan were on equal terms and he opened up to her completely, showing that he really needs her but now we are back to square one! I think the feeling of being needed by him is the key.

I always thought Geet has this insecurity whether she is good eough for Maan. And there are some very good reasons for this , like getting pregnant with a cheater's baby, own family who treated girls like dirt , all the inumerate taunts she received from STashas nd top it all the MSK who is an epitome of perfection and righteousness ...
So everytime Maan says or does something , this deep rooted monster surfaces taking her to a black hole... and she packs her bag!!

It will take a long time , lot of care and nourishment and some achievement on her own name to get over this insecurities...

Geet we see today is because of her past and due to the environment she grew up! She believed in God more than anything and the Fact that As she never did anything wrong; nothing can go wrong! But she was defeated again and again.

When Maan confessed that He thinks of her as the most Divine girl and that their relationship is based on Purity and when he questions her Self respect She is completely shattered😭😭 The one man she believed and the one man she loved; questioned her Dignity? Her Purity and the Divinity of their Relation. She was hurt and left!

And now the same thing has happened!

But now she doesn't want Maan to make a Mockery of his relation with her! Hence she is leaving!

But I want my Sherni back who will give it into his face saying that I came back for Dadima and not for you Mr.MSK!

Hear, hear!!! All my Geet analysis aside, pre-Geet Maan is a bit of an a**hole and needs to be suhdaro-fied, a job reserved specially for Geet, with a little help from the ever-loyal Adi and the ever-conveniently ill Daadima!

Thanks! I am glad you liked it. Even if the CVs don't think this far into things, I am glad at least they provide the foundation for us to do so, with a storyline that is always at least semi-logical! I am usually happy to fill in the blanks 😆

I totally agree, especially with her achieving things in her own name! I am all for the return professional Geet, which is why I loved the last Mahaepisode despite the lack of Maan-Geet interaction!

Also, I don't think it helped that MSK's general attitude was a bit self-righteous until the end bits of the Amritsar and the Rohtak tracks. I feel like he really made her feel helpless and small some times, not intentionally of course, but nonetheless. She really came into her own in Rohtak, with him being recognised as her husband for some time, which I would have loved to see a little more of. Too bad it all came back to square one so soon 🤔

Thinking back, I guess Geet was ever ready to leave when Maan didn't seem to live up to his promises.

I think the first time was when she realised that she had feelings for him and didn't think she was good enough for him..that was just before GC fell ill the first time and Maan had left for London.

The next was when she had them locked up in the office room to tell him about her past and his reaction, "Mujhe laga tha ki tum sirf meri ho!" made her run away...thinking that he meant that she wasn't pure enough for him.

However, I thought Geet meant to face any and every set down and set back with courage no matter howerever long it might take and Dadmi had warned her that it wouldn't be easy. But, after the first salvo from Maan, she's ready to leave...I agree, it's more for his sake than for hers...but having decided to fight through thick and thin, that was a little unexpected. And, again she left without a word to Dadima. This time however, she stopped at the doorstep to think about her wedding day unlike the time when she left during Holi. But, this time, more than the salvo, I think it was the pain that she was causing him and her inability to see him in this avataar makes her leave.

Yes, her insecurities play havoc with her mind in spite of her knowing Maan loves her to death but I think somewhere deep down, she expects Maan to always live up to his promise of never hurting her which is impossible specially in a marriage.

I hope this is the last time she ever leaves KM and Maan, though.

She needs a lot of reassurance from her soul-mate once again to feel her true worth 😉...it's sad for someone so young to have such a low self-esteem and the only reason would be a very shattering experience at a tender age...her perception of life shifted from being ROSY to GLOOMY to ROSY to GLOOMY continuously 😲...i think such experiences can make even mature, confident people doubt themselves and their worth; her actions are justified 😎

I only hope that the CVs had the same point of view when crafting GEET's character but I seriously doubt that they would have analyzed the character as beautifully as you did...😛

Your analysis was too good...i hope someone can forward this to the CVs of GHSP so that they can move the story based on this 👍🏼

Wow, thanks for this very intriguing alternative take on Geet's habit of fleeing the crime scene. When I think about it, yes, Geet does overreact whenever Maan indulges in any emotional weakness, be it uncontrollable anger or an inability to properly gather and articulate his feelings. This could be a sign of her age and naivete also, when he promises her things, she doesn't know any better than to believe him.

But I do also think Maan is partly to blame for her fantastical expectations from him. He makes way too many sweeping promises and encourages her initial image of him as a larger-than-life prince galloping in on a white horse. Then again, that is what makes for the lovely, romantic, fantasy-fulfilling wonder that this show is, so I can't really hold it against him. But it is hard to maintain a larger than life image after you are married to the person, even on a TV show. Maan took a long time to come to terms with with that and allow Geet to see him as a sometimes weak and vulnerable human being (I am officially obsessed with the Rohtak track) as opposed to some sort of demigod who could "make all her dreams come true".

While he has forgotten this, she hasn't so I was also not happy with the idea of her leaving again, which is why I had to justify it to myself and how this post was ultimately born 😃
