@ Lalita: That was an interesting take on Dev. I'd agree that, in the overall scheme of things, if we string together Dev's responses since the night of the engagement when he realised that Geet is his brother's life, he has been completely supportive of them. Yet, the depth of his repentance has not come through. What is irksome, given Dev's behaviour in the past in the Hoshiarpur track and its immediate aftermath, is the depiction of NT as the sole villain and Dev's refusal to own up to his mistakes.
@Medha, absolutely, I take your point. Yes, Dev has to act out the repentence and remorse that he clearly feels and publicly professes. He's had it easy with Nando coming into his life (what is wrong with the cvs?- can't understand, why a man and woman should fall in love or lust when they meet? can they not have a relationship without the undertones of sex, love and marriage and dhokha coming in???!).
Anyway. Dev really needs to do something that will mean gving up his self to a bigger cause. He now has the chance to do it by taking full responsibility for the way he betrayed both G and NT and accepting any penalty that the law hands out to him.
PS: glad that you like my signature. The picture of the panda and the signature sum me up perfectly. I have a poster with the panda and the singature over my desk.
