I second you. I have been noticing that DD has been getting no guidance about Geet whatsoever. So everything - the expressions, the emotions, the dialogue delivery is all off and this is why Geet has become OTT. Do I blame DD? Nope I blame the screenplay writer, the dialogue writer and most of all the director. 😡
DD's body language, her hand gestures and her acting has been off the cuff - all her own improvisations and we all now how much she remembers about the character from the TT interview 😆 😆 😆. I remember her saying she was holding her hand in a particular way and Noel told her not like that, like this. Geet is a village girl she will do it like this. 😳
See we need a director who will pay attention to the details because as they say "the devil is in the details". The director needs to concentrate on the expressions, the hand gestures, the body language, how a person stands and the tone of the dialogue. This is not the actor's job. The actor's job is to give their best.
It is kind of like a teacher letting the student do whatever they want in class. You should give the student some freedom to do things their way but at the same time, if they are messing up, it is the teacher's responsibility to step in and guide the student in the right direction.😃
