Most of us are thinking women, who may agree or disagree with their husbands but but because we are upset- we dont go around smacking them like a ping pong ball. I agree with you 100% that any wife would have a lot to say in a situation like this- but most wives would not smack their husband when he is trying to explain what is his plan. They would talk to him, hold a mature discussion- weighing the pros and cons- and if they have a better idea, they would offer that instead of constantly pushing him away. She no longer comes across as a normal, sane woman- her character is just a caricature of a loud, OTT, bumbling woman!

I am probably a feminist who wears her heart on her sleeve- but Geet's OTT behavior is getting to me now.

Lets say she was right in that she knew that Maasi would not approve of Lucky and Preeto's match. But she was more than willing to play cupid to Dev and Nandini. Would Maasi have approved the much married Dev and Nandini's match?

Geet's behavior does not appeal to my sensibilities- no matter what the motivation for her character- if I say that I find it OTT or irritating- I dont think that should be construed as Geet bashing or get me categorized/labelled as a Maan fan.

About the comedy vs romance vs drama debate- If I wanted to watch non-stop comedy, I would be watching comedy central or comedy maha muqabla and not GHSP every night at 9:30.

You know most of the so called "Geet bashing posts" as you put it,dont deprive Geet the right of holding opinion or getting upset. I see people almost begging for a stronger and sensible Geet , in these "bashing posts". Sure she can disagree with his opinions or plans. About buying the house I think he made it clear on first night itself that house was about to be sold. If not Maan anyone else would have bought it. Still she has right to be upset for not being told beforehand. But can she convey her feelings in a more sensible way. If she feels so miffed,can she at least talk about it in a mature way? But she refuses to talk and instead keeps making weird faces and giving OTT expressions (mirchi scene). She is so concerned about Maan but when someone supports or appreciates him ( like Pammi, Nandini and Lucky in kitchen scene) she gets irritated. She breaks plates to convey her displeasure in front of a business associate! Then when Maan talks about his plan seriously, instead of giving her opinions or suggesting an alternative plan(if she is not convinced with his plan), she just keeps smacking him. She says she cares for him and then shows knife to prove her point! I just cant comprehend what is going through her mind. Her actions are so inconsistent. I mean a scene earlier she says that she wants to be close to Maan,and when Maan comes near her she just keeps hitting him...
