Brilliant post! 👍🏼 It was indeed an eye-opener to me. I knew about Pammi-Beeji dynamics, even Jugnu's drinking habit is another social issue that they are looking into.

That scene when he forces Adi to drink left me with a sour taste. But Maan yesterday rightly pointed out and I admired his intention to reform him as well.

I wish the writers focus more on that so that all the viewers get it rather than making Geet look like a woman handler! 😔

😆😆 Accha!!! Your last comment gave me an idea. 😛 I think I have just struck on a reason for Geet hitting and smacking Maan. Could it be an equal but opposite effect...remember how Maan used to man-handle her in the old days. Is this Geet getting her own back???? It is a point to be considered?? If so...these cvs are taking this equal but opposite theory to its limits. 😆😆

Could be true. 😆😆 But when Maan is getting all romantic and worked up, we expect her to reciprocate back 😳 but all she does is smack him left right and center. One time is fine but when he was discussing his plan, she should be serious, right? CVs better fix up Geet's OTT behavior. She has stayed back at her Maasi's place to elevate MSK's image but she's doing nothing.

I agree with you..👏..cvs really need to address this issue and change her behaviour here...its getting to a point where even the fans in FB wall are complaining...

Next...there will start a Geet bashing session and the magic of Maaneet will be totally eroded. It will be almost impossible to get the goodwill of the fans back after that!!

Thanks to all of you for appreciating the post and sheding light, and supporting the show.
We all agree - the show is tackling social issues so it has not entirely deviated from path. 👏

We disagree the performance of the characters, and use of characters. -Each one has own POV.

My point of view - not justifying or agreeing with CVs of the show- just reasoning - sometimes directors add scenes that have gained lot of popularity as filler now I am not sure which crowd they are trying to impress. We shouldn't forget that we have wide audience.

Geet acting the childlike - yes yesterday was too much. but she is not polished matured as Maan and total contrast. He is North pole she is South pole. They have to find middle ground and adjust.
Knowingly or unknowingly she is enjoying freedom to treat her husband anyway she wants, this is all out of love for him not disrespect. She is from background where wives are with head down like Pammi. Maan has given her liberty to behave with him the way she wants without fear. But we all know this liberty he has given her and no one else and has limits, it was clarified earlier before marriage when she blabbered his action in front of Dadi .

She knows if sometimes she doesn't overreact then she can't get anything out of her hubbies mouth. Her hubby thinks more then talks and is a doer. She is always admiring and anxious to know what he is thinking. she desperately wants to go back and can't risk him taking action that might be hurdle in their being together. She knows her husband and her Massi both are head strong for own reasons. she is mere burger.

I think in coming days we will see Maan getting rebuffed which none of us will like but - we need to remember that Social issue is being used as vamp to carry the show.

As far as your second point is concerned I would say that earlier they didn't focus on Maan-Geet's family...even Dadi Maa was sidelined to show their courtship... now they are bring the real part ( or you can say the very important part ) of the lives of a married couple: FAMILY... Isn't family important to everyone???... and here is Geet who has got very troubled relationship with her own family & other relatives... The relations with her own family members are not so cordial even after her marriage... Now if Maaneet are helping the younger generation of their family then what's the harm in it????? Aren't we enjoying them??? They are togther facing all the problems.

I don't know about others but sometimes when there are lot of problems & you are fed up with them a person behaves in such a way just to gain the attention of the person who closest to you... & It is in the nature of women in general... but as you grow up this tendency becomes occasional...because you start to find solution to your own problems & don't want to trouble others however even in that situation one would try to attract the attention of your best friend/beloved... sometimes it just becomes your emotional need. I don't know how many would agree with my this opinion...
