Episode Analysis
First things first, today's episode belongd to Adi. Without Adi's humor, there was nothing much. 👏
I might be in the minority today, but today's episode did not make me go ga ga. I had missed yesterday's episode and caught up with that one too before I watched today's.. Have to say, I feel totally let down. Kal Maan Singh Khurana aur Teji ka takkar was mindblowing. What happened today?I know, it was funny and had some enjoyable light moments, but a lot of it felt repetative. 👎🏼
After watching yesterday's episode, my impatience to watch today's episode tripled. What can go wrong afetr such a high, I wondered. Well, I was in for a rude surprise. Today it felt like Maan Singh Khurana is not back afterall. Because the Maan I knew would not mess around with his work and business, even for his darling wife. The scene with him trying to tease Geet and make her feel jealous seemed forced to me. Unfortunately, for the first time, I preferred Adi to Maan and Geet in that scene. 😒
What is it that Geet wants? Can she think of doing anything else other than cribbing? The kitchen scene was not funny at all. Pammi and Nandini seem to like Maan more than Geet does. And surprisingly, it is Geet who knows Maan's agenda. Nandini and Pammi think Maan is here simply because he loves Geet. Geet knows that Maan wants to help the family and make things right for everyone. Still, Pammi and Nandini are supporting Maan more than Geet is. What is the idea guys? Yes, we want Geet to be a unique kind of a lead girl and not for the typical leads from other shows. having said that, if you make her the stupidest lead girl ever, that won;t work for us. We want her to be her usual independant, intelligent girl. Not this cribbing soul. Please. 😔
Having said that, I liked the fact that she is worried about what everyone is thinking about Maan and that is her primary concern. I liked it that when she called, she made sense and did not fight with him again. I liked her reasoning that irrespective of their intent, everyone in the family is understanding them incorrectly and that they should do something about it. I hope to see more of this side of Geet in the future. 😊
Lacchi was good today. I was surprised when she said Maan jeeju ne bulaya hai. Balwant ka kitna class liyata isne. I would love to see some interaction between Maan and Lacchi.
Well, what can I say about Teji and Beeji. They did not have much to do today at all. I do hope to see a lot more intense Maan-Teji-Beeji scenes. In recent times the scenes between these 3 have been brilliant. 😳
Jugnu Maama's drinking scenes have become very monotonous and predictable these days. He needs to try different things. This is getting boring. 🥱
So, Maan and Geet will find out about Lucky and Preeto and help them out and support them in front of the family. Well, some beginning. But I was surprised that Maan knew who that girl was. Maan aisa toh na tha. Well, kuch bhi aisa nahi tha. So, let us not get there.
In a gist
1. Yesterday's Teji-Maan encounter was splendid. Would love to see more of those.
2. Geet's character needs a lot of streamlining. "Going down the drain" is putting it mildly when it comes to her character these days.
3. Jugnu maama needs some better humor. His drinking and loitering is getting boring.
4. Pammi and Nandini and Lucky supporting Maan is lovely.
5. Please give Adi a room. He deserves it.
6. This track has become enjoyable the last few days because Dev has been missing. Keep it that way.
