Maneet ka Funda

A few things annoy me at the moment in their scenes together.

Geet smacking and whacking Maan every time he tries to get near her. This is not how husband/wife behave with each other. Otherwise its sposual abuse!! 😡😭

Geet teasing Maan and then when he retaliates by grabbing her...she shoves him away. Why tease him if you are not prepared to take the consequences. The couple in RBO also do this a lot...it annoys the hell out of me. 😡 Also...some of their chemistry has become a little thanda!!!! 😭😭

Under no circumstances should Maaneet be separated anymore. Once was enough and quite a few viewers lost interest with this separation. 🤢 I fail to understand why serials separate the main jodi. It seems to be the standard reaction to falling trps...but looking at the effects of this course of action...this only gains the shows a short-term spike in the trps when they get together again. In fact...shows tend to lose a good chunk of the viewers as soon as the jodi are separated. They normally tend to surf channels until they find something more interesting to watch. These viewers...never come back to the show...or may just flit in once in a while...like me...to see what the current story is out of curiosity.

Maaneet should be seen fighting together against their enemies instead of allowing their enemies or inconsistent events to separate them. It seems that Maaneet chemistry, acting and GC's hot-hot body...and his bedroom eyes are the USP of the show currently...not the storyline. There is a saying "Use it or lose it." It applies in every case but there is also another saying "too much of one thing becomes stale." Too much slap-stick comedy becomes boring after a while and some of the scenes are extended unnecessarily. Use of USPs is fine...but this should be in conjunction with a good storyline. Constantly changing cvs and storylines at the last minute leaves the viewers bewildered, betrayed and angry...and storylines not completed with logical conclusions make viewers abandon shows.

Some good interesting scenarios for Maaneet would be -

Geet going back to work at Khurana Constructions. Also...before she 'married' Dev...she said she didn't want to get married but wanted to study further. A scenario happens at work where Maan recognizes Geet's potential and suggests she consider taking up further studies to extend her knowledge. Geet says she enjoys working with him and doesn't want to do something where she won't see him except for a few hours at home at the end of the day. Maan suggests that she work 3 days a week at Khurana Constructions and attends college for 2 days a week. He even gets the details of the courses for her. This pleases Geet and she realizes that she can have both...a happy marriage as well as realize her dream of studying further.

Further to this track...Geet gets so involved and excited with her studies that at times she neglects Maan. Maan gets miffed and tries to find out what is making Geet so preoccupied. He asks her what she is studying about and if he can help her. She says no...she has a lot of friends at college that get together to discuss their studies. She makes a comment about a boy in college who is part of their group who is very clever and she will ask him. Maan starts getting jealous and says why does she go with a group where there are boys. Geet then realizes that Maan is getting jealous and teases him...which get him a bit angry. She then mentions casually that the boy is already engaged to one of the girls in the group and that all the boys in their group have some girl-friend or the other. Maan relaxes but decides to pick her up from the college the next day...just to make sure everything is as it should be.

Other scenarios could be comedic events at Khurana Constructions with Adi/Pinky/Geet/Maan and even Dev...if necessary...but always Maaneet working together and supporting each other.

Introduction of Sameera could be another track. Maan finds out that Sameera is a major owner of a company that Maan has a big deal with after it has been signed. Backing out would mean a big blow to Khurana Constructions.

Sameera was a prior business associate of Maan's who was an employee of a client of his. Maan was impressed by her business acumen and was infatuated with her...even to the point of considering marriage to her (or was even engaged to her). Maan finds out that Sameera had been given the task of distracting him while her boss tried to con him. Sameera however, falls in love with Maan and confesses all to him. Maan gets angry and breaks the deal and his engagement to Sameera because he cannot marry someone who doesn't have any ethics and has deceived him. Sameera has since married her boss who has now died and left her a major shareholder of all his companies. So Sameera returns again with the intention of getting Maan back...similar to Aitraaz track (I stole this idea so...compliments to Devil's Den for this idea.) 😆😆 Geet can be shown getting jealous of Sameera.

They are never going to use any of these ideas...but WTH!!! 😆 I am just enjoying myself putting it all down on paper. 😆
