Im from the UK too having 300 a day is a big thing and i think they deserve it for all the hours they do

we have a higher expenses and especially in this recession, cuts and scare income

any sort of income is welcome

Plus india is reaching economic standards very quickly

I Dont understand the whole gender thing too!

speaking generally, men are able to negotiate higher salaries, see this:

The bottom line is that in order to get the pay and recognition they deserve, women must ask for it.

in this case DD definately holds the upper hand as far as bargaining power is concerned because the show is nothing without her - fans would never accept anyone else as Geet. At the very least, she should get the same as GC.
