So I think as they have forgotten about the connection of dev-Geet they are trying to takes those HP days and who were against Geet out..

Now the story moves only with a limited reference to the days in HP.

but here she only thinks all things by herself and she is still hurt. no one to show her right path and right attitude.. At Khuranas Dadima always put her on the right track and gave very wise suggestion that make her think all the time and they reconcile. But as MSK said those very heavy hurtful things Dadima also was not able to wipe away those hurt and make her understand as that was purely between them. Maan observed and was seething with anger and doubts though not directly at Geet but his words implied that he did not trust Geet's judgement as he thought she was baigairat and spineless.

Here her family have taken the misjudgement of making Maan the culprit on Geet's very bubbly and forgiving nature and Maan is not defending himself as he also thinks that he has gone too far this time and have broken her heart and he is the one who is responsible for this attitude and behavior of Geet.

So whatever external forces may come around them this has to be resolved between them because Maan has done something very hurtful to her and that is why she left the house because Maan separated himself from her and until she went few miles away he did not realised that he made mistake of understanding her as the anger took hold of him but that is no excuse.

Even while Dev was forcing him to listen he was as adament as always telling Dev that you of all people would teach MSK about love who can give his life for his love?? But Dev had to break that insolent and pride of self righteousness to let him see that his self righteous has killed his love and has driven her away.. Until then he did not even try to get her back..

So Maan's mistakes were coumpounded that he insulted her and he let her go still thinking that he was right...
