Let me try to explain, do you know what a shawl is - a large scarf that you wrap around over any attire and also used to felicitate folks on their achievements😉

Chappal = slippers

lapatke = wrapped with

marna = hit

So when we want to say "we will attack someone, but in a dignified way", we use this phrase, because you are saying we will be nice by felicitating with a shawl, but guess what? it will be wrapped with - slippers (meaning to hit them with it). Such a double-meaning phrase, but I love it🤣
