Hey Geets, Awesome post. I read it in the afternoon but had to leave and hence couldn't comment then. I said this in the den today and will post it here again since I think it is relevant.

The one thing I have liked about this separation is that it has been circumstantial. No one person is at fault.

Geet lost her baby and was grieving in its loss to an extent where she did not even see Maan's hurt. It took a lot of people to bring her out of it and they all used Maan and a pretext to make her see that she had to move on. Unfortunately Maan did not know about it.

For Maan, he too lost a baby and was grieving in his own way. He wanted to make sure he does not loose Geet too but she turned down his attempts. he is not one who takes failure and rejection easily and it made him go further into his shell, but then he saw Geet smiling and trying to be happy, happy with everyone else but him. And he flipped. In his anger he said something that he should not have, and hurt Geet beyond repair.

Neither one is at fault and neither one is totally right. And hence it is only fair that both of them fix it. However since Maan fixing it means us seeing him with pagadi, I will take this without complaining 😳

Yah, both can be wrong both can be right, but my point is why people start bashing Geet only! This is what Im trying to understand, why the blame game!

Let's move on and enjoy the upcoming track!

Im waiting for Geet to see MSK's burned feet, I want her to look for her Maan and nurse her chupke se! Mark my words when she sees his feet, only she will suffer!

must say that was very well written
it pains me to read posts that bash geet for leaving the house and so on
but i mean come on how one sided can people get
if they ever put themselves in geets shoes then im sure the outcome
would be the opposite
how can any woman bare the pain with those harsh words and do nothing
about it
geets been through way too much in her life and that to at the tender age of eighteen
but i dont care about what others say, i will always stand by geet

My cousin wrote this after Pak and India game!

I posted this on my post elsewhere and it relates so well to Maaneet!

Kusoor na unka hai na mera
hum rishton ki rasmein nibhaate rahe
woh pyar ka ehsaas jataate rahe
hum mohabbat ko dil mein chhupaate rahe

I completely forgot about the dialogue of that tent scene and geet's vulnerability for her supposed impurity. now that you point out how maan told her what she meant to him despite that impurity, i can now see why geet would take it so hard. glad you pointed this out. I still don't agree with her leaving home, but i'm fine with her making maan work for her forgiveness (i would have expected her to do that at the Khurana house, as well.)

Thanks dear! 😳

Very well said...........

I'm just sad to see that even in 21st century, there are people out there who believes that man can treat woman whichever way he prefers, just b/c he is her husband........I love MSK, but he was wrong, he degraded her and that too in front of another person

Absolutely loved your post!...word to everything you've stated!👍🏼....Whenever I venture to Geet Forum all I can see are posts that bash Geet and her actions....this is something that I really fail to understand especially when it's concerning Geet as a character since she's a female and the majority of the members on this forum are also female😕...I would have thought it would be easier for a woman to empathise with another woman's pain.....I guess I was wrong.....having said that though, if you look at the situation objectively you can surmise that both Maan and Geet are at fault....not just one party....I won't go into where each one of them have gone wrong because others have already done that in this thread and worded it much more eloquently than I ever could....but I just wished people would look at the situation objectively before declaring themselves Judge, Jury and Executioner

Maan was her hero...yup...she worshipped him..respected him..adored him..for all that he stood for...he fought for her every step of the way and gifted her something so beautiful that no woman can question....respect and dignity....in the eyes of the world he gave her honour...and then to shred it by such hard words...that too in front of that person who destroyed her life...

time n again i have heard this argument...she can forgive a rapist like Dev n not a loving husband like Maan...there is a huge difference here...she loves Maan...her hero...the reason for her existence...she respects him...her soulmate....and when he says this...it is unbearable n intolerable....its not physical violence...for her this scars her soul...the one man who understood her totally ...simply turns around and says something like this....brings her whole world crashing down...Dev can do this....he was never her love...a decision that was made for her...but not her man...nope never..but Maan cannot say this...not ever...she cannot hear these words from the one man she always has looked up to...
And she forgave him coz of Maan....coz she loves him more than she hates Dev...her hatred for Dev is not her mainstay..but her love for Maan is...and she wants to drag her love out of the bitter shadow of hatred...the corrosive acid of fury that was eating Maan up..had to be cleared...she wanted to finally release herself and her husband from the shadow of past miseries...and look forward..and she is blamed???!!.
And one more point that annoys me...ppl say he has given her soo much...so...does that make her obliged...she needs to return the favor by taking everything from him....is this how we perceive love n a marriage...she should be grateful to him...n take whatever he dishes out....what kind of relationship does that make...and that is what Maan precisely said....he always had pride...too much of it...and he cleary implied that she was inferior...while he was a Khurana..!!
There is no place for pride in love...no place for superior or inferior...for gratefulness n gratitude...this will eventually kill any relationship....
Love is not the most important thing in a marriage..nope ...it is trust and more than that...respect...which was given by Geet but not by Maan...she always knew that she had won his heart but not his respect...
