Saturday's Episode - An Eye-Opener

Since Saturday I have been reading several posts and comments on the way Sinner Dev of all the people lectured the most noble MSK (Or should I say Devta MSK) I know many pro-MSK and anti-Dev fans out there are waiting to hammer the daylights out of me But I wanted to write this....

I was unable to see the episode till a little while back..as soon as I finished watching it I opened my laptop and am writing this.....

Before I start on my psycho-analysis of the episode and the characters I would like to congratulate Mr. Barry Dhillon for the superb dialogues that we heard on Saturday. I call this episode an eye-opener because it has shown Dev in a totally different perspective. Some of the high points of the episode are as follows:

Dev was the only one who showed the guts to face Maan and tell him a few home-truths. As Dev said all others in the house were scared to tell MSK that he was wrong because they have always been afraid to face his wrath. But as far as Dev is concerned he has nothing to lose if MSK gets angry at him because he has been facing his anger since the time his involvement in Geet's misery has been known.

What touched me most was when Dev said that he has never been fortunate enough to get true love in his life but he considers MSK to be even more unfortunate as he does not appreciate and value the true love he has been fortunate to get...how very true that was.....

Also when Dev explained about the Farmhouse fiasco and why Geet forgave him...well that was the highlight of the episode.....now with this, Dev's track can end on a good note, or t least it will not leave a bitter taste in anyone's mouth.

I have always believed that some people are not really evil...its circumstances that make them bad...in Dev's life he had a wife who did not bring out the good in him but moulded him into her evil ways.....do u all think such a person needs to be hanged for his misdeeds? Or if he wants to do good he should be allowed to do so? He has shown that he has a very humane side to his nature.....so why should he not be allowed to change for the good if he wants to? I of course agree with the CVs POV that now Dev has been punished enough and should be allowed to lead a peaceful life...by this I do not mean that what he has done can ever be forgotten....even if Maneet forgive him this will always linger somewhere at the back of their minds...but that should not stop them from moving forward with their own lives....

More than Maneet it is Dev who has to live with his sins for the rest of his life.....Imagine what he will feel every time he faces Geet who will treat him politely as befitting a bro-in-law...we must not forget that when we forgive some one for a wrong/sin they have committed we are actually making it more difficult for them to face us...that will be Dev's punishment till he dies...knowing he has been forgiven......

Before I end I would like to say that Sameer's acting was really very good in this episode....the way he gave it off to MSK was commendable....and as I said in the beginning the dialogues were too good.....as for acting all acted very well....Geet's stunned and lost look, GC's angry look and later as realisation dawned on him that he probably could loose Geet for ever...the expressions in his eyes were simply superb (as always)....so also AM has done a superlative job when she was asking them all to bring her Geet back......

Its quite possible that some of u may not agree with my POV but I think if we see this with an open mind and with a streak of humanity we can agree that the CVs have shown what was the need of the hour....instead of prolonging Dev's track till eternity they have paved the way for its ending..........I only hope that they don't show him turning negative in the future...if they do that then all this will be lost......

Please friends if my post has upset anyone's feelings, I apologise for doing so.....

hi hamavand! nice post! :)

that is what i also said in my post..he said that as a brother to him

and doesnt mean if someone is right all the time, he cant be wrong

and Dev is regretful and his intention to help were genuine..

HATS OFF to BARRY for dialogues! and the epidose was mindblowing..

yes, painful but was full on entertaining..this is why we love GeetHSP

I agreee with the latter part of what you said. Yes, let him lead his life somewhere else. And I don't agree it should be peaceful. Until he gets back atleast half of what he gave poor Geet, why does he deserve peace? Other than a slap and a difficult time getting a job, exactly what has happened to our "righteous" Dev? He was never really estranged from Dadi. He got out of his marriage with Naintara unscathed. So exactly how has he suffered? Geet slapped him; Maan slapped him and he was beat up by goons whom he owed money to. I don't think Dev deserves fogiveness at all, but if the CVs want to show him starting his life over and getting that forgiveness, let them show it somewhere else. We don't want to see it in Maneet's life or house!!!!

Sanjh I agree with ur point ..I wanted to mention it but had to rush out..family duty called
...I know that sleeping with Geet was wrong but actually it is because of that one weak moment where he lost control over himself that all this has happened......Had he not succumbed to that weakness, Geet would not have got pregnant..then who knows what the story would have been....all she would have lost would have been the money which they would have taken...at least she would not have lost her innocence...and then the matter could well have been forgotten......these things happen in life...some people fight for their rights but others just like to forget such a thing as a bad dream.....

At least Geet was lucky she got a person like Maan who loves her to distraction...even his reaction is not incorrect.....he just does not trust Dev's actions any more because of what he had done in the past....but this confrontation between the two brothers was needed...maybe now MSK will realise that at least he can forget his hatred fro Dev and move on in life with Geet....the whole point is that they have to now forget their hatred and not the wrong done.....remember if we breed in our hearts it destroys our very soul.....

One other thing which I feel the CVs should show is that once Maan brings Geet back to KM Dev should voluntarily leave KM and live elsewhere....he can always be a part of the business and family but from the outside....that way he will salvage his own soul also and will not have to be reminded of his sins and /or feel embarrassed because of them every time he comes face to face with either Maan or Geet...particularly Geet

Hey dear like your topic so want to reply. Now I am tired of who is right/wrong matter. 😔

I learned one thing. "Jo Hota Hai Achhe Ke Li Ye Ho Ta hai".

Initially i was angree but realized on saturday itself that Friday & Saturday episodes were needed for strong episodes of futures.
One thing more those who are not coming at GF or not use internet for reviews are happy with GHSP. They see it and said both maan & geet are so good. 😉 Examples are availabe at my surroundings.😆
I love GHSP and it is enough for me. No expectations. I want it run for long long time.👍🏼

Krishna u are absolutely correct. Those who don't visit the GF are very happy with all the twists and turns in the show. Its only us who visit the forum who feel that there is too much of siding..at least i think so.....I don't know what these people want....most of them want to see characters who are either totally white or totally black...but in life there are many grey characters also....in fact all of us have a devil within us ...some let the devil arise and some don't as we say in hindi/urdu .."agar hum burai ko apne upar haavi hone dayte hain to hum shaitan ban jaate hain".....meaning if we let the evil in us get the upper hand we will also become devils.......I of course take the show at face-value and enjoy what is shown.....hope others also start doing the same...
