Since Saturday I have been reading several posts and comments on the way Sinner Dev of all the people lectured the most noble MSK (Or should I say Devta MSK) I know many pro-MSK and anti-Dev fans out there are waiting to hammer the daylights out of me But I wanted to write this....
I was unable to see the episode till a little while back..as soon as I finished watching it I opened my laptop and am writing this.....
Before I start on my psycho-analysis of the episode and the characters I would like to congratulate Mr. Barry Dhillon for the superb dialogues that we heard on Saturday. I call this episode an eye-opener because it has shown Dev in a totally different perspective. Some of the high points of the episode are as follows:
Dev was the only one who showed the guts to face Maan and tell him a few home-truths. As Dev said all others in the house were scared to tell MSK that he was wrong because they have always been afraid to face his wrath. But as far as Dev is concerned he has nothing to lose if MSK gets angry at him because he has been facing his anger since the time his involvement in Geet's misery has been known.
What touched me most was when Dev said that he has never been fortunate enough to get true love in his life but he considers MSK to be even more unfortunate as he does not appreciate and value the true love he has been fortunate to get...how very true that was.....
Also when Dev explained about the Farmhouse fiasco and why Geet forgave him...well that was the highlight of the episode.....now with this, Dev's track can end on a good note, or t least it will not leave a bitter taste in anyone's mouth.
I have always believed that some people are not really evil...its circumstances that make them bad...in Dev's life he had a wife who did not bring out the good in him but moulded him into her evil ways.....do u all think such a person needs to be hanged for his misdeeds? Or if he wants to do good he should be allowed to do so? He has shown that he has a very humane side to his nature.....so why should he not be allowed to change for the good if he wants to? I of course agree with the CVs POV that now Dev has been punished enough and should be allowed to lead a peaceful life...by this I do not mean that what he has done can ever be forgotten....even if Maneet forgive him this will always linger somewhere at the back of their minds...but that should not stop them from moving forward with their own lives....
More than Maneet it is Dev who has to live with his sins for the rest of his life.....Imagine what he will feel every time he faces Geet who will treat him politely as befitting a bro-in-law...we must not forget that when we forgive some one for a wrong/sin they have committed we are actually making it more difficult for them to face us...that will be Dev's punishment till he dies...knowing he has been forgiven......
Before I end I would like to say that Sameer's acting was really very good in this episode....the way he gave it off to MSK was commendable....and as I said in the beginning the dialogues were too good.....as for acting all acted very well....Geet's stunned and lost look, GC's angry look and later as realisation dawned on him that he probably could loose Geet for ever...the expressions in his eyes were simply superb (as always)....so also AM has done a superlative job when she was asking them all to bring her Geet back......
Its quite possible that some of u may not agree with my POV but I think if we see this with an open mind and with a streak of humanity we can agree that the CVs have shown what was the need of the hour....instead of prolonging Dev's track till eternity they have paved the way for its ending..........I only hope that they don't show him turning negative in the future...if they do that then all this will be lost......
Please friends if my post has upset anyone's feelings, I apologise for doing so.....
