I so get ur feelings on this...but just to get my point of view across...lets have a sort of analogy
Imagine a thing or person u love with all your heart.
Ur pet/ brother/dad/child
U in your fit of mischief do something which hurts them physically. Say a hit in the eye or a bad cut on the lip., or a broken ankle.
Your are truly sorry about it and that person wholeheartedly forgives you....once they realize that your truly sorry.
But everyday you have to live with seeing that person half-blind or disfigured or handicapped even if they are happy in their lives....
you have to deal with it everyday and remember that one fit or anger/character/irresponsibility led to that misery in their life.
You have to face the guilt everyday in the face of their forgiveness.
That is exactly what Dev feels. He's truly sorry....but despite the forgiveness he has to live with his sins and his bad conduct and the fact that he hadn't been a good person. that kind of mental trauma is even worse.He's already living his punishment...seeing that his actions directly affected his beloved older brother...the person he looked up to and respected.
So if u want to punish him...the true punishment would be him living in KM and seeing Maneet everyday....getting him off easily would be letting him stay away.
U get my drift?

Turning Dev negative now would be bewakoofi and stupidity.
It'll totally ruin the essence of the show.
I dont want Dev to leave...he should be around to give back NT some of her medicine.why should Geet always do that. he needs to bring himself back in Maan's good books and what better way?
