Well I know many are questioning how dare Dev preach Maan... but well I do not think he did... but what he did was just to show his brother the folly of misunderstanding and miscommunication and misconception..
here I go....
Dadima wants to go to Maan and feels too dizzi stumbles on the sofa and all run to her.. Well Dev thinks now it is enough he needs to step up.. He instructs Arjun to take dadima inside while he decides to have a heart to heart talk with his elder brother the Maan Singh Khurana..
Oh boy!! What a confrontation it was......
Dev who had no guts to stand in front of his older brother Maan...
Dev who had no capacity to even raise his eyes to his brother Maan...
Dev who had no capacity to raise his voice to his brother Maan
Dev who had no capacity to tell him what is right and what is wrong.
Dev who had no capacity to teach any principle of life to Maan
But Dev had capacity on his life experience to know what is the pain of loss
But Dev had capacity to realize what a person can loose if he cannot recognize true love as he let Myrah go....
But Dev had capacity to see through the misunderstanding as he has been in the mess of his life.
But Dev had capacity to know what happens when you do not stand up for right things
So Dev Khurana who had no guts finds the guts......
So Dev Khurana who could not stand in front of his brother Maan now decides to confront him.
So Dev Khurana who cannot lift his gaze and look in to his elder brohter's eyes now finds the courage to confront his brother.
I have to give it to Dev that he got so much courage to talk to Maan that way as Maan was like a wounded lion and would not have spare any one who ever came in his path. But some one had to make him understand the folly of his words... Dev was able to tell that to Maan not because he has turn in to some kind of saint and has authotiy to preach.. no but he was the person who had lost everything in his life and he just could not stand there and let his brother loss everything.
Yes Dev has committed so many mistakes and sins and yes judicial crimes but it does not mean that he cannot say what is right to his brother. It was his love for his brother and his wife Geet that he choose to under take Mann's fury and insult but did not step back form the path of that wrath but told the hard truth to Maan about his attitude and his pride and his mistakes and his misunderstandings. He was not trying to preach but he was trying to tell his brother not to destroy his life and his love cause of miscommunication and mistakes and misunderstanding..
He was not trying to be a saint or a preacher. He was just trying to be a real brother to Maan
What ever he is or he was he would never cease to be Maan's brother and he just could not stand on the side line and let his elder brother lose the one most important person in his life and that was Maan's Geet casue he knows the pain of lossing... he knows the heartache of misdeeds.... and he simply refuse to stand and watch this.
He may not be a good person
He may not be a good husband
He man not be a good friend
He may not be even good human being
But yes he is brother enough to find couage and come and stand in front of the great Maan Singh Khurana who had a capacity to shut him up with just one big punch...
No he found courage to come and confont him and let his brother know that he did somthing wrong in deteching himself from Geet his wife and his life and he just could not let Geet go away from his life...
He has to push him to go after Geet and not stay in with his pride but go after the breathe of his life because Dev Khurana knew what is the life without the breathe... and on his life he would let that happen in his elder brother life ...
