@paintedsky: oops by that physical violence I meant, that to vent her hurt she wouldnt pull maan off of Dev, or scream at him.. violent resolution I meant...

Sure hes been with her thru thick and thin.. but so has she 😕... shes been no less in any which way... both have had mu's but both have come back from it..

had Maan said anything else, maybe she would have fought it.. but not everything said carries the same import, does it?how can she react the same to everything he says? somethings hurt more than others... like today.

But where the hell did this self-respect go when she allowed Dev (the Man who stripped her of her self respect in front of the world and left her to die at the airport) to apply colour on her !!!!!
I honestly don't know what to say... i'm confused !!!!!
Sure Maan was wrong to question her integrity and self-respect in the way that he did, but considering the infamous holi scene between Dev and Geet, I can't really say I blame the guy!

If you guys have been following the series why cant you see wht I have seen?

Geet cannot always think of Dev elementally as a rapist. The character of Dev has developed a lot since then--
--- He realized his crime , actually surrendered, wanting to atone for it.
--- Left them alone when Maan didnt pursue the case..
--- saved Maans life..

Now , for Daadi she was forced to accept him back in the house, but she ignored him completely.
Still the fact remains hes in the house living with them. She has just overcome her grief of loosing her child, and suddenly realized she needs to get their life on track... why admist all this pain must she also carry on being bitter?

As for Maan.. is she supposed to worship him , or love him as a woman loves a man? WHy should she always have to compare what Dev did and then remember what Maan did and then decide.. thats absolutely ridiculous and very cold on part of people to expect so!

Just cuz Dev did what he did in the past doesnt mean, she should forgive Maan for everything he ever does or say cuz it would neva be as heinous as what Dev did!
Dev shouldnt / doesnt figure in their lives right? Maan also believes that right? so then why shouldnt she be hurt by what Maan says, irrespective of Devs crime? wheres the justice in that?

Its shocking to see that people still put Maan on a pedestal and expect Geet to kill herself proving all the time that she is deserving of his generosity!

WHat Maan said was an outcome of repressed anger and confusion... but it was hurtful nonetheless... very very very demeaning. and Geet is right to be struck badly by it. Dev doesnt matter to her, Maan does.

So we can understand where Maan is coming from, please try and understand her too. and dont always weigh everything Maan does against Dev's crime. Its very unjust to Geet.

I too was upset to see Geet behave normally with Dev but then I pondered a bit and realised that when Geet gave Dev his forgiveness she liberated herself from all and every single tie she had with the Dev who had ruined her life. Dev to her is now nothing but Maan's brother and Dadi's laadla grandson.

But I do understand why a lot of Geetians feel tht way they do about the holi scene.

However, it's really sad to see that each time something happens in MaanEet life people only seem to want to remind Geet about all the times Maan has saved her and helped her. If Geet keeps doing that than how can she love Maan. She will only be indebted to Maan and she'll only feel gratitude toward him and that is not love.

And why is it that each time its Geet who, in everyones eyes, has to prove that she is deserving of Maan's love.

I just hope that one day people of this forum will come out in full support of this character called Geet who like every other character, whether real or reel, has its flaws but also has its strengths. And I hope that one day people will change their perspective about Maan and Geet's relationship from that of a saviour-victim to and husband-wife who love each other a lot and actually consider each other as equals. And bcos of this they have the right to get hurt when one or other does something that is hurtful to them.
