Linking up and spreading rumors are part of yellow journalism. It looks like the professionals are sleeping on a great story and amateurs have taken-up the task. And one can see the drop in quality as even rumours are somewhere based on facts and not dissecting a comfortable working relationship.

And nonsense holds more value when sense is used to whip a dead horse.
