Hey guys

I am totally offended by the makers of Geet by making fun of mang bharo scene. Mang bharana is an important part of hindu marraige, its almost like shaadi. Kal ko phero ke baad yeh bolenge ki they are not still married. My pov, no offence😊

We should keep religion out of this.

It is universally accepted that a hindu marriage is the most romantic and colourful of al l marriage ceremonies.

The mantras recited are promises made by the groom to his bride and together they make promises to the society . They also take an oath for the preservation of the environment for their ofsprings.

God in the form of agni, (fire and light ) is the witness to this union

Perfectly understand where u coming from Avi... in so many shows they show this ritual only...

but it is also improtant to realise that even though sindoor signifies a bond has been created betweem 2 people... putting sindoor by itself does not mean they are married...

So I am glad that unlike other shows... in this show... Maan asked Geet about getting married...

I am therefore positive about the whole episode... to me Maan filling Geet's maang signified that He considers their bond sacred and significant... He considers their relationship as one of a lifetime and beyond... which he then further confimed with his words to Geet....

So unlike other shows... this show has not made fun of this ritual... Cos other shows just show ?Maang bharna and ....Voila.. they are now a married couple... Thtz absurd and pathetic and making fun of the rituals....

Understand and agree with your point on religious aspect...😊

Agree with Kesha's point too ............ Serials and Movies should send out the right message of legalizing marriage..😊

Hey sweets... just filling maang does not symbolise a legalised marriage... it just symoblises the bond of being married...

Similarly just putting a mangalsutra around someones neck does not mean they are now married..

The most important part of hindu marriage ceramony is the Pheras... some castes take 7 some 4.. and Kanyadan.. is improtant... the havan is important as well..

Sindoor putting and Mangalsutra tying are symbolisms and not actual rituals...

Actually sweets I dont think they are confused...

If they were Maan would not have asked Geet for her hand in marriage........ and he would not have told Geet that he needs to maintain his distance...

Thtz what I like about this show..... no stupid dramatic sequences... What Maan did by filling Geet's maang is tell the world that he is with Geet and that he wants to be with her always... that he considers her his jeevansaathi.. not that he is marrying her now...
