Part 4
Flashback
Geet felt a warm, wide-palmed hand firmly splayed over her belly. She langourously stretched and felt her husband's warm, strong body behind her back. An automatic smile lit up her face and she enjoyed the sensation of being so very close to him. She felt him nuzzle her neck and his hands explored passionately her sinous body. She turned towards him , caressed his rough velvet jaw and crooned naughtily, 'Mr Khurana, you are simple insatiable. You kept at it literally half of last night.!'. He ravaged her soft mouth and with a needy, rough voice answered back, 'Mrs Khurana, having you all night is also not enough. You are like a drug to me.' They indulged in some more deep, intense kisses till she suddenly felt nauseous. She shot from the bed so quickly that he had only risen to his feet by the time she slammed the bathroom door after her
'I look positively grostesque. Go away', she gasped when he flung it open, and then she bent over the basin and retched again. He cupped her shoulders, held back her hair and steadied her until the spasm passed. Then he turned her in his arms, despite her protests. 'I will take you back to bed and you will stay there until the doctor arrives,' he said firmly. 'I'm not sick. This is just morning sickness, stupid', she said with a tired smile. He didnt tell her that he knew what is was and that he had been terrified seeing her suffer. Maan held a damp cloth to her face, helped her brush her teeth and then combed her hair with light delicate strokes. She made a cute face and teased him , 'Are you going to take care of me the same way when in a few months I will be a beached whale and I'l walk with a waddle?'. He gave her a sombre, serious look, 'You will always be the most amazing woman for me . I wish though that I could share your pain.' Geet smiled with wonder and happiness and reached up to kiss Maan
After breakfast, he kissed her hard and asked her to rest. She adjusted his tie and grinned, 'Maan, please go to office. You are already very late. I will take care of myself.' At the door, he turned back again and mischievously told her, 'By the way sweetheart, you've got a cute waddle'. She stuck out her tongue at him and made a funny face. He lightly pinched her cheeks and finally left. Geet pondered on how lucky she was to get such a perfect man in her life.
Geet stood in the centre of the room they'd chosen for the nursery and turned a slow circle. She hugged the framed picture of a pretty fairy they'd bought yesterday while the hand-painted rocking-horse waited for its young rider in the corner. A protective sheet covered the most adorable cradle she'd ever seen and the soft toys around the room made everything look so vibrant. Maan's grandmother's rocking-chair gleamed in one corner of the room making her feel nostalgic. Dadima had gone to visit her friend in Jaipur and she missed her more every passing day.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted when she heard someone enter the front door. She thought Nakul is back from the market, so she didnt bother to check. As she was toying with the small baby socks and clothes, she had bought some days back, she heard footsteps near the nursery. She went out of the nursery and saw Naintara walking up the stairs. She felt the painful clutch of fear and panic. She knew Naintara had definitely come with some ulterior motive and as she came forward she saw, Naintara was not alone. There was another woman with her......
p.s ---wokkay next chapter is defo gonna be on the unfortunate incident. Guys keep guessing who is the woman with Naintara. Love
I want to post this song , for everyone to understand the pain a miscarriage can cause to a woman. For all those unfortunate women who have lost their babies, this is a tribute to them.
NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU-SINEAD CONNOR
she wrote the song after her son's death
It's been seven hours and fifteen days
since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
since you took your love away
since you've been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
but nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues,
'cause nothing compares
nothing compares to you
It's been so lonely without you here
like a bird without a song
nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
tell me baby where did I go wrong?
I could put my arms round every boy I see
but they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor guess what he told me
guess what he told me
he said girl you better try to have fun
no matter what you do
but he's a fool
'cause nothing compares
nothing compares to you
All the flowers that you planted mother
in the backyard
all died when you went away
I know that living with you, baby, was sometimes hard
but I'm willing to give it another try
nothing compares
nothing compares to you
