He turned to see that she was in the middle of a circle of woman, one of whom was his dadi.
He was curious to find out, what they were saying but then he heard one of the woman'
"Humari Geet lakhon main ek hai, jis ghar main jaaye gi khushiyaan bhar jaayein gi!" the bulky, yet elegant lady said while caressing her hair.
He smirked, then walked over to the car.
It was a start of a fresh new morning; and a fresh new start for some.
Today Geet was feeling teary, her sister whom she spent her 20 years of life with would now go and live a different part of the world. She wouldn't get to hug her every morning and criticize each others hair and make-up. Mehek was 2 years older than Geet and Rohit was 2 years older than Mehek.
Geet thanked Babaji and then she rembered her encounter with the stranger she met last night.
"Kaise kaise lardkay hote hain aaj kal, jahaan lardki dekhi wahaan se raasta badal diya!" with that thought she went and got ready.
He was getting ready Rohit had called him twice reminding him that he had their tickets. He stopped to take a look at himself one last time.
"Wah-kya baat hai Maan tumhari!" he winked in the mirror and dashed out the Khurana Estate.
"Yaar yeh Maan bhi na'." said Rohit tapping his foot.
"Relax, jaan he'll be here tum itna worry kyun kar rahe ho" said a calm Mehek.
"Waise jij who is this Maan?" inquired Geet while texting.
"He's my best-friend we have been friends since childhood the one who found the-"
"What's up dude?" he said greeting Rohit.
"Finally tu aa gaya"
Geet recognized that voice and looked up to see the same guy from yesterday. She saw him and her stomach twisted.
"Him? Again?" she thought.
"Main 1 min jaldi aaya hoon, you told me to be here exactly at 11" he said now staring at Geet.
She looked very attractive in her black scoop neck shirt and her boot-cut denims. Her hair today was in spirals.
"She looks perfect in anything!" he thought.
"Geet yeh hai Maan" said Rohit.
"Nice to meet you Geet" he said smiling charmingly while extending his hand.
"Same here" she said in a very fake tone, and shook hi hand.
The moment their hands touched a current passed through both of them.
The announcement interrupted them.
"Well that's our leave!" said a teary Mehek.
"Diii" said Geet while hugging her sister.
The two men watched the girls hug, and be all emotional.
"Jij apna waada bhoole na to phir achaa nahi hoga"
"Geet mujhe tumhari behen se dar lagta tha ab mujhe tumse bhi dar lagne laga hai" said Rohit looking at Maan.
Maan winked at him.
"Dude I'll see you later, have a safe trip!"
"Maan tujhe nahi lagta you should find and stick to a girl now?"
"Nope!"he said naughtily.
The girls were too busy telling each other stuff.
"Geet if you like someone and don't tell me I will kill you!" said Mehek.
"Yes Di!" she said rolling her eyes at her cute yet stubborn sister.
"She doesn't like anyone, hmmmm" thought Maan.
"Guys come on tum log phone pe baat kar sakte ho" said an amused Rohit.
They bid goodbye.
Now Maan and Geet leaned against the metal railing watching the two go inside.
An awkwardness filled the air.
When they were out of sight, Geet turned to leave.
"Well it was a pleasure meeting you Geet" Maan said before she fully turned away.
She smiled a half-smile but still it was a smile.
"Have a nice day!" she said as she left.
"Shit! Shit!" she said as she kicked the car.
"Babaji mere saath hi kyun?"
Then the same face appeared in front of her.
"Is everything okay?" he asked smirking, he saw her kicking the car.
"Noo, actually the stupid car won't budge" she said helplessly.
"If you want I can drive you to your house?" he asked smiling soo charmingly.
"If you don't have a problem with it'." she said hesitantly.
He went and opened the door for her.
She sat down in the seat smiling confused.
"Geet, tu papa ko bhi phone kar sakti thi na? Phir? Khair chaddo!" she said not wanting to wreck her mood.
He smiled at the thought she sat even though she had quite of an ego.
He sat down and started the car.
They were driving calmly when the car stopped at an intersection and'
"Eh ma God!! Maan I thought you were gone out of country?" a girl sitting in the car to the left said.
Geet looked over to see a girl in short clothes.
"Shit! Isko bhi abhi mujhe milna tha" he cursed.
"Haan wo actually I'm back"
As soon as the signal turned green he dashed passed her leaving her confused.
Geet looked at him.
"Yeh sab lardkay ek jaise hote hain!" she thought.
"Wo actually I don't even know clearly who she is'."he said embarrassed.
"Yeah, it's okay hota hai" she said annoyed.
He cursed himself while driving and then the car came to a halt at the Handa Mansion.
"Thank You, please come in" she said not forgetting he manners.
"No actually-"
"Maan beta how are you?" said Geet's Uncle.
"Woh ummm, I'm fine uncle."
"Chachoo, meri gaddi kharab ho gayi and he dropped me-"she explained.
"Hmmm andar aao bete, Geet mehmaan ko andar-"
Maan who was listening interrupted.
"Woh uncle actually Geet ne kaha tha lekin main thodi jaldi main hoon" as much as he wanted to come in he didn't want her to think he was some stalker so'.
"Okay then Bye and Thanks so much!" she smiled slightly and left for the house.
"Acha phir bye lekin phir kabhi aana"
"Ji uncle sure" and he left smirking.
At night Geet was talking to her best friend Roshni also known as Rosh to people she liked.
"Haan yaar phir wo mujhe mila OMG yeh stupid car bhi na" Geet said laying down on her bed.
"Shayad tum dono ke beech'''.." Rosh said giggling.
"Hmmmm'..NO WAY!! Wo to bas itifaak tha, magar I guess he's not so bad after all! He helped me and all"
"Yeah yeah babe but if he was the one who brought the shoes he's HOT!!"
"Haan haan tum aur tumhare'..anyways magar when that girl spoke to him bechaara itna embarrassed ho gaya tha!" Geet said laughing.
"Poor Soul, chal bye bestieee"
"Bye!" Geet said as they hung up.
She turned the lamp off wondering why he kept bursting into her life all of a sudden, with she fell asleep.
He was there cursing the girl, who had wrecked his image. He was a playboy type magar not as much as he would take advantage of the girls. He was just really popular smong the women in the society.
He kept thinking about Geet.
"Maan itna bhi usme kuch khaas nahi hai ke tu fida ho jaaye" with that he fell asleep too.
