You know you're from/in Pakistan when....

- Your in Pakistan when morning rush hour is from 6am to 12pm. The evening rush hour is from 2pm to 9pm. Saturday's rush hour starts Friday morning.
- You live on giving "missed calls"
- You took tuitions even though you didn't reaaally need them
- Your Massi and Driver have taught you fluent punjabi
- Your broke ass next door neighbour just bought a BMW cuz he deals in property
- A really souped up civic from tokyo drift stops next to you and instead of something groovy, the woofers blare out Jawad Ahmed
- One of your friends is a butt
- Attended a shaadi that had to have a mujra
- The only solution to boredom is eating out
- You go by landmarks not street names
- You blame everything on KESC (if you're from Karachi), and/or LESC (if you're from Lahore)
- The first 15 channels on your cable are dedicated to stage shows/mujras
- Standing in line is considered out of line
- Standing out of line is considered being in line
- Anyone older than you is an uncle or aunty
- Your relatives alone could populate a small city
- Everyone is a family friend
- Everyone from your extended family comes to pick you up at the airport
- You ask your Dad a simple question and he tells you how his university life was filled with studying in the dark, walking miles to get to school, balancing "100's of jobs" with school, supporting the entire family and only spending a few rupees on himself etc..
- Your parents drink at least 3 cups of tea a day
- Your parents compare you to all of your friends
- Your parents are never satisfied with your grades
- After talking to a girl/guy once, you think you are boyfriend-girlfriend and are already planning on getting married
- You don't give money to a beggar until he has at least three missing limbs
- Child labour does not bother you
- You cannot complete a sentence in Urdu without using at least one English word
- Your food needs more oil than your car
- You've screwed up your rights/lefts quite often
- Your cousins from karachi ask you about food street and your like "yeah i went there back in 2003"
- Your winning argument about how lahore is better than karachi is 'Lahore laa hour aaye'
- Your grandparents (or even parents) don't realize phone connections to foreign countries have improved in the last few years, and still scream at the top of their lungs when making long distance calls
- (For females) Your brother had no curfew while you had to be home at 11pm
- You are ALWAYS taking off and putting on your shoes wherever you go
- When you were little you always wondered why your American friends
waited until after breakfast to brush their teeth when you did it first
thing in the morning
- To your American friends, oil is used purely for cooking and not as
a grooming aid
- Your parents hate the British
- If you aren't married and you turn 25, your parents start wringing
their hands and proclaim that it's too late
- Your mother measures wealth in gold and diamonds
- The second you pull out of someone's driveway, your parents
start talking about them.
- At least once a week your mom says, "I want to go to Pakistan"
- No one ever seems to call ahead of time to say they are coming over
for a visit.
- When you drive by other people's businesses, your parents always
count the number of cars in the parking lot.
- Your parents worry what other people will think if you're not going
to be a doctor, lawyer, or engineer.
- You're parent's always say, "It's cheaper in Pakistan"
- They always blame your problems on them selves thinking you will change but infact you blame it on them.
- If you get a B+ its not good enough.
- If you get a A- its not good enough.
- If you get a A+ its not good enough, you should get a A++ or a A star(*) that dont exist.
- You wonder why nobody from your country is doing anything to improve it... and yet when asked where you want to settle down, you say "anywhere BUT Pakistan"
