Thought I'd reserved my spot in the den today...cant find it Oh well, here's my take....
Forgot to mention this yesterday…but Yash's entry in Geet covered in paint now makes sense. He owns a paint factory….I mean his brother did, who's passed away. So Yash is in town to wrap up his bro's lose ends and ends up with his brats. A street smart character will defo try to unload his added baggage, hires Geet as office manager, which brings in Maan as the new investor. So in the end everyone is happy. Maan finds Geet, Yash gets to sell his company and Geet finds a job to be independent.
Which brings us to today with Geet trying to prove to the monkey brigade that she is the new office manager. Romeo is ecstatic, Manish n Pyare in shock. Bringing these folks in line will be interesting to say the least. To add to this mess, there's a disgruntled customer at the door step … so this monkey is tied around Geet's neck. At least the customer seemed more civilized than the monkey brigade.
The monkey brigade seems to be in depression having just lost their long term owner, saddled with his bro, now a new female office manager….and to top it all, a new investor who does not like flowers or colors…LOL and is interested in a paint factory !
The talk of flowers and colors takes Geet back into her Maan memories. Rightly said Geet, there could be several folks who don't like flowers and colors….but with ur luck, it will only be Maan….LOL.
Yash-Maan
These two characters can develop a good rapport u know….just like Darcy and Bingley. CVs don't let Yash go. Bring him back, make Meera bring him back. Yash is willing to take Maan on a tour of his company…but khaddos Maan does not budge…deal or no deal he says…coz he is like proverbial Arjun with is eye on the fish's eye. Maan's eye is on being closer to Geet.
So Yash is uncomfy just leaving his workers without saying good bye. But MSK says nothing doing…Deal or No Deal? Yash the savvy businessman that he is, says, Deal ! With Yash out of the country, atleast he wont hit on Geet !
Geet tries to pacify customer….another Babaji convo. The 3 Musketeers have a plan…at least 2 of them to get Geet outta their hair…erm..way. So Manish entices her to the store room and locks her up. Interesting inventory management techniques, Manish.
But u know what, I think over time, Geet will be the mother hen to the monkey brigade. They will worship the floor she walks on….dekhtey rahiyo.
As soon as she realizes she's locked in, she overhears 3 musketeers rejoicing. So she will be let out at 5:00pm. They're gone…silence. Geet remembers 'Hum tum ek kamre mein' with Maan. No matter how she tries, everything reminds her of Maan. She confesses to herself. But cautions herself that Maan will be able to help her out of her current situation. Lo and behold…MSK walks into the premises to check out his new factory…LOL ! Isey kehte hain kismet…fate….jo inhe kheechti hui laati hain…samjhe.
Mushtanda … Geet Handa ! Barry…loved it !!! LOL !
So while Maan is trying to find Geet's whereabouts, Geet tries to jump from the window…I mean climb down using a rope ladder. See the anticipation in Maan's eyes that very soon he will see her. Geet throws down her jootay….Maan doesn't hear ? As she climbs down she steps on Maan's shoulder…..Maaneet eyelock ! Maan, so what did u read in her eyes…I guess ur anger reared its head first….koi baat nahin, anger to kaabu mein rakh. Both still defensive. But they both lose balance and fall. Now Maan gets a real good look into her eyes, her heart. What did u see Maan ? Geet lowers her eyes and head. But she is quick to get up and offers her hand to Maan. Maan refuses and gets up by himself.
Maan - Tum theek ho ?
Geet – nods her head
Maan – tum kar kya rahi thee. Koi kaam theek se kar sakti ho tum. Kamre se bahar, khidki se nahi darwaze se nikla jaata hai. Aur tumhari iss haalat mein…
Geet – Wo…
Mahiiiiii…..
For a small moment, both had led their guard down. Both still love each other. Where was Maan's ego ? Nowhere. If u saw him yelling at her, it was not his ego, but his concern for her well being. He knows she is impulsive and takes undue risks. But he is worried that she may get hurt. Their guard is still down as she brushes off the cotton off her. Watch Maan looking at her surreptitiously, enjoying being able to look at her so close, when he notices the cotton stuck in her hair. Unknowing to himself , he raises his hand to brush it off but stops just as Geet turn…..aaawwwwww ! Maan tries to control himself. Just then Geet notices the cotton pieces stuck in Maan's hair. Very naturally, she tries to brush it off saying 'Maan, wo…' But her endearing tone is his undoing….Maan's guard is back up, his mask that had slipped earlier is back in place.
He grabs her hand and says 'Sir, Maan sir bolo. Mein tumhara boss hoon'. With this statement he's put Geet in her place. She has lost the privilege of calling him Maan anymore. And oh yes, he is now her new boss. 'Aur mujhe zyaada bolne wale log pasand nahin hain, kyun ki bolne ki jaldi mein wo sochna bhool jaate hain.' Wow, Maan with this one sentence told Geet just what he felt about her press conference.
So Geet, your lesson in manners, begins now.
Lesson # 1 – Don't talk until you've been given permission to talk
Lesson # 2 – Don't enter the room without knocking…oh even after knocking wait until you've been invited in. (I think this will give Maan to school his expressions on his face before you enter…LOL)
Geet not knowing about Yash selling out to Maan. The guy Geet needed help from has left. Maan cant stop himself looking at her as she tries to call Yash.
Geet's contract says she cant leave the company for 2 years and if she does, she will have to reimburse the company with 2 years of her pay….something Geet can never afford to do. So with this new contract Maan has ensured that Geet will not be able to leave his company.
So Yash is returning to the US. What a coincidence ! He's heading for Chicago. Hey Yash, I'm not too far from Chicago. Let's meet…so I can send u back to Geet HSP. Owe it to Jyo, Adits and the gang …coz we all will miss u in Geet HSP.
Yash gives his calling card to Meera….hmmm. He'd stopped by to tell Meera that Geet is now working for Maan, as he, Yash has sold his company to Maan. He came to tell her so she can keep an eye on Maaneet.
Precap – Maan says, this is just the beginning…to teach u ke boss ke saamne kaise tameez se pesh aaya jaata hai.
Things I Liked today
- Maaneet finally in the same location after all the almost misses yesterday
- Maan ensuring that Geet will be around….her contract
- Maan still being there in her time of need aka locked up in the store room
- Maan will accept color back in his life…with Geet and Indian Paints
- No Sasha, Tasha, KC staff around
- The 3 Musketeers – Romeo, Ram Pyare and Manish – curious to see how their characters grow
- The pain of separation and the underlying care for each other in Maaneet
- MSK and Geet – very much in character….MSK more so than Geet. I want to see Geet repent for what she did on Friday. Even a criminal is not held guilty until he is proven to be so. Geet did not even give Maan a chance on Friday. Maan too needs to tell Geet why he did not tell her about having to bail Dev out.
- Yash Meera convo – good chemistry there.
- Maan will now be in the Indian Paints office all the time… with hopefully Adi being the only one in the secret.
Things I did not like
- Yash leaving town. An absolute no-no.
- With Yash gone, Dev on vacation, there are not many threads to develop….which means more pressure on Gurmeet and Drashti. Swati, CVs – you are back in the same boat with the same risk. What happens if GC/DD have another emergency ? You don't have a backup plan. Will you once again be fire-fighting? That means your recent experiences have not taught you anything. That's not human nature.
- I'd said on Friday that Swati and CVs are going back to square one. Are we going to see the same early KC days again in a different office ? Where is the creativity in that.? Even in M&B the protagonists, after they reach a certain level in their relationship, they unite. In Geet HSP, you are ripping off a page trying to start over. What gives?
Nissar, Barry, Gurmeet, Drashti – again a great job ! Well done !
Swati, CVs – You have an uphill task to regain my confidence, I think you wasted the Maaneet buildup of the last few months.
