You have always been anazing with our OS on Fb and posts but this was truly worth reading. This is a beautiful indepth insight on Maan and Geet's character.

I read through your post and it brought back some wonderful memories I have of a conversation with the author of the above link, who happens to be a close friend.

So i'm not the finance/eco/MBA person remotely, and it took me sometime at that point to understand her way of incorporating the Maslow theory in an AR FF - now you're doing it with Maaneet! =))) it makes me think of how the base of much variety has common root, it reminds me of this discussion I had with a reading friend of mine of how genre in fiction writing can never really be beyond the categories that are. You know, like the energy law? about how energy can neither be created, not destroyed - something about creativity is exactly the same... ironic, thjat we call it creativity, because when u really sit down to think of it, it is neither created, nor destroyed! when we come up with creative concepts - in art, in fiction, in films, in music, in theatre.... at the end, it stems from reality - if not directly, then from our perspective of it - but exists! 1984 (the g.orwell book, if you've read it) is a perfect example. of an author's fictional but predicted version of how the world would be some 4 decades after the times where he lives, and its extraordinary how many nitty gritty details in that world he creates in the book are actually true today - not in the blunt way that he projects, but underneath the politics and world friction lie exactly the philosophies and strategies at play, which he wrote up into a book all the way back then!

and damn, have i deviated or what!

Point is, in the end - everything can be classified into a known, it may just be a branch or a corollary of a case, but the base remains! And so your linking of maslow's with this story falls so into place!

I wont go into the technicalities of what you point out here - but explicitly, and very well drawn parallels!
