The article says that there is an element of intrigue around the character of Romeo.
In his intro segment too...Romeo is in self thought and says "main thak gaya hun bramchari ki acting karke" . This can imply that he is here for a purpose and to mingle with the rest of the crowd he has to act like them, so that Geet does not suspect anything. Maybe he has been sent by Maan to keep an eye on Geet.
