Me was wondering: Is it a big issue if someone close to you is always there and supports you all life. Isn't it a great feeling to know that there is someone in whose presence you feel protected.

Yes Mann's ego got hurt and thus he hit Geet's ego. But, don't think, it's wrong if Mann is the doer and Geet just enjoying the life.
