but I am making it clear that I loved the episode today!

I feel everyone was in character today and Maan and Geet both showed their inner character to each other today.
THAT is what honesty is about!

Maan giving a simple solution to all problems and shutting those stupid board people up was great!👏
I loved the way he said it.

Geet - Maan- ROUND 1-The accusation
Geet- Main aapse shaadi nahi karoongi
OTT effect here- GC is enough. We don't need tedhe medhe angles
"apne bhai ko bachane ke liye aap mere jazbaat ke saath khel rahe hain"
Maan- Kahin aisa na ho tumhe baad mein pachhtaana pade
Geet- aisi shaadi main kabhi nahi karungi
^^ V V important dialogue! 😉 She will marry only for love.
Till this thing gets completely cleared out- which will happen when MAAN answers her question- They won't be married
DOESN't mean marriage won't happen..
A V v important point ot be noted here- THERE is NO MU between the two.
It's an ego clash. A full blown Ego clash where Geet wants Maan to tell her why he did this. To say it. And instead he brings in his male ego in.
He wants to marry her to protect her.
That has always (DON't KILL me here!) been a PART of why he loves her.
He thinks she needs him.
Yes, he WANTS her too. But he knows and has always been shown (through Destiny) that she NEEDS him. Remember the outhouse after Railway station engagement- how MAan says he can do everything on his own and doesn't NEED Geet's help, that she can't do anything on her own?
Now there is a clear dicotomy here-
Maan thinks Geet NEEDS him
Maan WANTS Geet
Unless Maan is shown that Geet can live on her own. That Geet can stand on her own feet without his help- they won't be equal
Today was a fight between a man and a woman who have extremely strong sense of self.
They LOVE each other yes, but LOVING doesn't mean Self-denial.
One doesn't forget oneself when one is in love.
"unki khushi mein meri khushi" is all well and good.
She is willing to sacrifice..but the breach of trust that happened here...IF only Maan had told Geet what he did, this wouldn't have happened.
If only he had taken her in confidence.
In protecting her- he ended up hurting her and damaging their neev.
I don't know if it's a line I read somewhere or if it's mine..
" In loving you I found myself"
Geet didn't even leave because of the Dev thing.
She understood what he said.
She left because he counted like a good MCP and UDP that she owes everything to HIM.
Geet wasn't okay with THAT.
She appreciated Maan. But she never expected him to remind her of all that and then when she asked him why then is he marrying her- Out of LOVE or out of that chauvinistic belief that he is helping her.
It is intricately linked for them.
Maan has been her savior. And in that process fell in love with her.
Maan will appreciate her as an independent individual in her own right now.
And then they will be at the same page.
For- how can they ever have a compatibility in something as committed as a marriage if they are not on the same page.
Their "bandhan" needs to become a "rishtaa"
and we saw that today with the Taweez-Dupatta symbolism!
Aah- I feel so nice seeing that.😳
the Taweez has bound them, they know they are soulmates. They know they have a bandhan, an "anjaan dor" which they were about to name as "bandhan" on the basis of that "anjaan dor"
Isn't that part of the Taweez done? (not to say it's gone out of picture now..but for now) They made Maan wear the Taweez(which was a sort of Mangal sutra for him!)
Geet's dupatta- need I say anything??
( I will come to marriage symbolism in a bit)
But Maan was also shown in that scene that HER honor and their bandhan were intricately linked with each other and she was trying to remove it from him. WHY?
Because MAAN hurt her sense of HONOR.
The Taweez needed to be out of Maan's neck because they are bound by destiny, yes, BUT he needs to now see her Restoring her pride and honor.
The Taweez was GEET's to put on MAAN's neck.
No one else has that right. Not even Maan. That choice was given to Geet.
She put it in the moonlight date, she put it when they met first, she will put it on again- when she feels his ego is shed and that he loves her not because he thinks she NEEDS him but because he WANTS her.
That loop of providing justice to Geet is complete.
That was why all this had happened. Geet would be given justice with Maan's help.For now that part is done.
But now- Maan and Geet need to get out of their SOUL world and join the REAL world where the issue is of their egos and self-respect.
Geet's swaabhimaan versus Maan's abhimaan.
Unless Maan sheds his "abhimaan" to appreciate Geet's "swaabhimaan" it won't work between them.
MAan was in the wrong.
Geet said she didn't mean to say it in front of everyone.
MAan declared their marriage to the world.
Geet declared Maan as having ulterior motives for marrying her to the world.
Geet-Maan pushing/dragging
Maan had to be pushed back because he was actually hurting her and moreover getting into her private space. He needed to BACK OFF..and that's exactly what Geet did.
Maan dragging Geet later- Symbolism below but also..guys..the girl pushed him..LOL..knowing MSK- he was ANGRY..She knew that- and she saw that.
He HAD to drag her out of his life physically otherwise it never would have happened.
HE had to put effort to push her out..just like she had to make an effort to push him back.
They need to use physical effort and energy to push each other out of each others' lives and private places...being soo intimately connected.
The star-moon talks were for the union of their souls.
which has happened.
But the souls are not all that they live with.
This is their intellects uniting process that has been put in motion. The second highest faculty of humans( the first being the soul)
the third will be the flesh(physical) and that will be...😳you know...
This is what Philosophers have said..about 1,2,3...but I agree(that rhymes..😆)

We had gathbandhan- Taweez+dupatta
When MAAN is Dragging her out- it is how pheras are taken.
The bride and groom hold hands and walk around the fire(their anger provided fire enough..LOL)
WE SAW a shaadi ironically😆
There was the baraat then.
We had the phoolon ki baarish that happens after pheras.
We had Red dupatta on Maan(clear sign of marriage)
But it had to be discarded..
Maan can't be Geet's life-partner in the practical sense till he sheds that ego and answers the question she asked him of why he wants to marry her
she wants him to differentiate between LOVE and his Ego satisfaction.
The question that the media asks about Marriage happening or not is unanswered by Maan.
They have pain in their eyes during this entire moment.
and well- symbolically part ways.
But the question is unanswered.
Obviously as I and others have said- the theme has of marriage has been introduced and will be developed too.
Their relationship will be developed on the Earthly intellectual level now.
Soulmates they are- and NOW they need to become Life-partners.
Hope through all this, some of it made sense.
So- it was not an MU but an ego clash.
Maan was at fault.
I am SO SO happy he is not shown as a mahatma( I never thought he was anyway) but now as a Man with faults.
AS AN EPIC hero- his HUBRIS(PRIDE) became his fatal flaw. It will lead to his fall and how he rises above it now will build his character as a hero. Geet's hero
Geet was brilliant today!!Stood up for herself and her self-respect.
She will go to Yash now and we will have some light hearted moments of Yash-Geet-Meera..
MSK will obviously land up pretty soon so no worries at all.
LEt's see how this is played out
The problem I had was with Dadi- I am angry with her for not empathising with Geet as a woman, but she DOES love her grandsons a lot too- she lives for them. And so- I can understand but not forgive her.
she is showing DHRITrashtra's fault now- she is allowing LOVE to blind her to justice.
Bhisma banne mein time hai abhi thoda
DD,GC- each expression, each dialogue was brilliantly acted out by both of you!👏
