Ahhh'.a topic close to my heart. 😳😳 Having read some of your responses to this topic 👏....there are some of my thoughts. Please excuse the typos and long post. 😃

MSK's character is very complicated and there are indications of some contradictions. 😕

Is Maan's current personality...a result of nature...or his childhood...or is it a result of Sameera?

I remember a line from the storeroom/taveez scene. Geet sees a photo of Maan laughing. She says wonderingly "There was a time Maan Sir used to laugh?". Maan replies from somewhere "Yes...but I also quickly learnt that this laughter is deceptive. Behind every moment of laughter...there is also a hidden sourness just waiting to take its revenge for every moment of joy. Therefore...it is better that I never laugh" When Geet stumbles on a small bicycle...Maan says "I hate falling down (setbacks)....and when I fell down from this bicycle for the first time...it has always reminded me that I will never make the mistake of falling down again. Anytime I have a setback in life...I store the things that are associated with that setback in this storeroom and I come to the storeroom to remind myself so that I will never make the same mistake again." 😭

It is confusing as to whether this unforgiving personality is a result of his natural personality or if it is a by-product of experiences in his childhood. However it is clear that he was unforgiving of mistakes from a very young age (reference to the bicycle)...and not as a result of what Sameera did to him. 😊

IS MSK AN EXPERIENCE LOVER?

Women Other Than Sameera

To my mind...I don't think so!!! But I am not totally convinced 😆😆...purely because of his expressions and the way he handles Geet when he get amorous 😍...though this could be instinctive 😲😲(if so...this guy is multi-talented and god help Geet!!!) 🤣🤣 Apart from Sameera...he may NOT have had any other girls in his life. 😆If his character is a result of his childhood experiences...he would not have exposed himself to any kind of emotional entanglements. He knows about Dadi's views on loose women (when she came across Geet sleeping in Maan's room...Maan knew that Dadi would not have approved 👎🏼....so he explained that Geet wasn't well and that's why she was there.) So...to my mind...he would not have 'indulged' in one-night stands because he would have been mindful of Dadi's views on that subject (though he did quite well with Pari and the girls at the disc ' could be cinematic liberty by the cvs?😡) Having said this....this is no indication of celibacy because it is a well known fact that men can 'ahem...ahem' without any feelings for their partners. 😆😆

MSK has the type of personality that...if allowed.... can become 'over the top'. When he does feel....then the feelings can overtake him... and they can get out of control. Therefore...he keeps a tight rein on his feelings by trying to control this aspect of his personality. He tries to control his emotions by channeling his feelings....anger, fear, etc....in disciplined activities such as Tai-Chi or felling a block of wood. He has phrases such as "Maan Singh Khurana is not afraid of anything". Poor Guy......he didn't see Geet in his horizon!!🤣

Sameera

So....it is known that he was like this before he met Sameera. The laughing photo in the storeroom could have been taken when he met Sameera. My feeling about Sameera is that he met her later in life. So she is not a childhood sweetheart or a college friend. There is a strong possibility that she may have been a girl that might have been introduced to him for a possible arranged marriage. 😊 In India....everyone knows how impossible it is once a guy hits a certain age to be immune from the pressures of accepting a marriage proposal. Arranged marriages are normally agreed on the fact that the guy and girl are acceptable to each other. In most cases...it is not love at first sight....but maybe just attraction.....which is a good basis for marriage. 😃

So....he might have been attracted to Sameera....but not have the "soul connection" he seems to have with Geet. 😊So during Sameera time....he was slowing coming out of his self-imposed shell but after her betrayal ....he quickly went back into it. 🤔

The articles on Sameera's entry stated that she was a positive character. So...the only reason for her to betray Maan would be if she was being manipulated or blackmailed to bail out on him. 😡 For some reason....all roads lead to Naintara. Whenever Dadi talked about Sameera....Naintara had this weird self-satisfied expression on her face. Also....Maan was suspicious about why Naintara wanted Geet's file in the office...and suspected that she was up to her old tricks. So this could mean that Maan knows that Sameera's betrayal maybe connected to Naintara.....which is why he warned Naintara to stay away from Geet. 👏

I would like to think that Sameera was an arranged marriage baggage. 😆 I would hate to think that Maan had any other kind of feelings for Sameera. 😡 Attraction is OK...because men and women can both feel attraction without love. There would be no expectation of courtship requirements...such as sending roses, candlelight dinners, etc. MSK has a hatred of flowers. Also he himself said he has never sent any flowers to anyone before. So he would not have sent flowers to Sameera......not even to Dadi. This tells me that his hatred of flowers could be as a result of a childhood experience. 😊

Why has MSK not mentioned Sameera to Geet. Because he has put everything connected with Sameera in the storeroom. 👏 Anything that goes in the storeroom is then forgotten by MSK. "Out of Sight...Out of Mind". MSK has disciplined himself to think in this manner. 😎 The only time he goes there is to remind himself not to make the same mistake again. Also....Geet knows there is something in MSK's past which has made his life colourless...which is why she promises she will now fill his life with colour and make sure that his life is filled with happiness from now on. Though....she obviously she does not know that part of that past is Sameera.

Also....originally Sameera was going to enter Geet early in Maaneet relationship...I think to make Geet jealous. Instead they bought Pari for that purpose. Now...Maaneet have an established relationship with confession as well....so I don't know if the original purpose of Sameera's entry is still viable. They are going to have to make her character to be quite unimportant compared to Geet in MSK's life. 😉 Only then will the 'anjaan ehsaas' that the cvs have based their story on is acceptable and believable. 😊

Geet

The times he maan-handles Geet 😳....are when he feels he is not getting anywhere with her. 😆😆 He gets carried away and treats her roughly. 😉 This could be because his passion and feelings are getting out of control which part of his innate nature. 😳 But later realizes what he is doing and tries to make amends by trying to erase his rough-handling. 👏 He is capable of gentleness/tenderness as when he gently carries her back to the outhouse and puts her on the bed after their HP trip but I doubt if he shows this side of his personality to anyone other than Dadi and members of his family. 👏

He has never felt this "anjaan ehsaas" (unknown feeling) before Geet. He may have been attracted to Sameera..🤢.but this is not the same as this 'soul mate'.😛.....and reading her eyes type of feeling he has for Geet. To some extent....his feelings for Geet border on the OBSESSIVE/POSSESSIVE. 😛😛 He can't be away from her for too long and starts getting worried if he doesn't see her for more than a few hours. He has a morbid fear of losing her (This from a MSK who is not afraid of anything.) He keeps 'stalking' her all the time making sure she is within his eyesight most of the time. She is in never too far away in his mind. 😆😆

As I said.....there are quite a few contradictions to MSK's character regarding his experience with women. Whatever happens....I do not want Sameera to come as a past 'love' 😡 as this would be such a contradiction to what the cvs have shown us so far.

@ all Maan has been bottling up his feeling for a long time or say since Sameera left.... Now here come Geet and in the beginning Maan is uncertain about the pull he feels for her....once he is sure.... his actions have become CLEAR or I should say he has shed all inhibitions and hence we see a passionate Maan or say private space invading Maan only with Geet....
