Yeah, I love Guru more as Ram than Maan, mostly because when I first heard of him, he was Ram and I followed Ramayan from episode #1, that the image of him as Ram stuck. Though I prefer Arun Govil (Ram of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan) in the role more than him because of RS's impeccable characterization, Guru is my next favorite as Ram because despite so many other Rams in the tele field, he created a niche for himself by portraying the role well.👏 On the other hand, there is only one Maan. No one acted Maan before, so Guru held the freedom to do what he wished as Maan. Not saying it was easy, but I believe it must be easier than playing Ram because Ram's character was already carved out by so many others before him.

Lastly, I personally prefer Guru's look as Ram more than Maan.😆 He's cute as Maan too, but as Ram, he had that charming and handsome persona, and also looked very dignified and distinguished.

Lols, you say you could not fall for someone who had the divine look because he reminded you of God, but soooo many people fell for Guru while he was Lord Ram.😆 You should have seen the Ramayan Forum during the days Ramayan was still running, people were head over heels for Guru just like in this forum.😉 And not only in the forum, there were cases where young children, when they met Gurmeet and Debina, fell at their feet because they honestly thought they were Ram and Sita. I remember Debi mentioned in an interview that she fely very uncomfortable in such cases, because those children expected her and Guru to bless them at all too.😆

Also...i was just teasing you...I mean i love gurti onscreen and offscreen too, but debina and GC are so cute together...and i'll seem off-screen and bot are so adorable and beautiful together...so I wouldn't want them to break up at all!

But i kind of get defensive about drashti especially when you said someone could have played the role better...as a rational person i would say you're right b/c you haven't seen all the possibilities, but as a fan....I just couldn't agree with that! Like I said before...I'm a little...ok maybe a lot bias when it comes to drashti b/c to me...she's the whole package! But I totally get your point!

You find very few actors these days who are so down-to-earth, humble, and faithful like Guru, that I think one of his best characteristics is his faithfulness, love, and devotion for Debi. How many guys do you see like him these days, esp in the telly field?😳 If he broke up with Debi for another girl, that would greatly affect his fans who look up to him as a role model. Not many would respect him as before.

On the other hand, if he and Debina separated because of some genuine internal problems between themselves, then that is totally understandable as marriage is a big issue and no one should rush into it without being 100% sure they are ready, but if he truly loves Debi and both share a deep understanding of each other, he will not break up with her just for his co-star, because co-stars change frequently in an actor's life, but not someone who's seen you throughtout your entire career and always supported you.

@JanakiRagunath: Having read your posts, I feel you are just as biased about Debina. I'm sure that in your view no one could do the role of Sita better than Debina. And you have every right to feel that way. So let others feel the same too.

As for the TM's post...I'm wondering if such topics would have been wriiten if GC/DB were married. I shudder to think what would have happened if it did.
