Ok...Shreya...fair is fair and I did say I was in. So...my most embarrasing story goes something like this.
It was my 18th birthday and this guy I had the HUGEST crush on and his best friend took me to dinner. Now...if you can imagine...I was not the hep restaurant going type...the Dhaba was more my adda. Anyway, they took me to this really nice restaurant in Bangalore and got me a cake to cut...the works. Well, after I cut the mandatory slice wagera wagera...Sudhir (my first love) told me that it was considered polite to walk around all the tables offering people a piece of the cake. 😲
Now...hold that laughter and see this from my perspective for a second. Here...me the innocent fun types in a serious restaurant with quiet music, candle light etc. etc. My first thought was...yeh mein kahan aa gayi...amir log yehi nautanki karte hain kya??? 😳 Then, I thought, chall Dals (my nick name)...maidaan mein khud jaa...👍🏼. Then I thought...nahin nahin...Sud is teasing me...yeh tho masaak hai...😳...right? Then I saw Sud and Manu (his friend) looking at me all shocked that I might even consider embarrasing them by not distributing cake...😳.
So...what did I do???
Scene...Quiet restaurant where nobody was even paying any attention to the birthday greetings at my table.
And...action... Mua...walking to each table with the cake. When people looked up me like they were looking at a waiter, I hurriedly mumbled it was bmy birthday and did they want a piece of my cake.
Suffice to say, by the time I had gone to three tables, Sudhir & Manu were loudly rolling on the floor with laughter (no ROFL because emoticons did not exist then). I walked back...completely red in the face. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now...all of you are sworn to the DEVILS code of ethics. So if anybody ever repeats this to me again...I will virtually slice you and spread your remains in the CMH forum for the piranhas to fight over! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
