Bri very well written👏👏👏 and I hope CVs actually read this post and stop making Dev look like a saint and then everyone forgiving him just because all of a sudden he becomes a cupid between Maaneet😡🤢...
If Dev is really guilty then first thing he should do is confess his sins in front of his entire family and then surrender himself to the police....also I feel more than NT its Dev who is the culprit here....NT's plan was just fake marriage and then running away with Geet's property..but sleeping with Geet and making her pregnent was never NT's plan ..and thats where Dev has mainly commited the sin when he always knew that the marriage was fake....so I m not concerned whether NT goes to jail or not...but Dev should definitely get the punishment...he is not a 5yr old child who will do anything and everything whatever his wife feeds him in his brain😡...Dev was equally involved in everything and even went to the extent of consummating a fake marriage...so somewhere his sins r more lethal than NT's sins and no amount of guilt can actually wipe off those sins😊

@Jyoti: Thanks for your wonderful reply honey 🤗

True that his redemption track is being sketched out too simply but I am still hoping that they would surprise us on this score.

One other aspect is, I do not want to see this character dead, if they really wanna do the redemption track, they need to do it with utmost care and finesse. Hope they will not disappoint us.

Hey bri:

Liked your words again. Compliments to you, for they manage to make me sympathetic towards dev, that I don't feel too happy about 😆 .

Thanks for your answers. Since you don't subscribe to rebirth, I cannot ask you more on those.

But on your point two: yes, I agree man knows be is actions are wrong when he indulges in him. I have no doubt about that. My point is, whether evil or wrong means the same as destruction. I don't think he thinks far enough to note that destruction is coming his way.
Now, I don't know if you understood the question I am asking.

@Yash: i understand your question; but my perspective here differs from the usual. I personally think when a man has chosen to tread on the evil path, he knows he is set on the course to destruction!!

When one chooses to go with evil, one knows it is evil and that one knows the it will lead to destruction or the destruction of their inner self and ideals. Even a killer knows that killing will destroy him ultimately!

Bri,

Nice update. Very powerful words. But somehow I cannot see it being applied to Dev yet. Maybe its because of the lack of emotions on the part of the actor, or a lack of character development of Dev by the CVs or maybe just because I think it is too idealistic for any situation. Just feeling guilty and remorseful or just thinking about surrending yourself to the person/situation without any action is not enough. The day Dev really stands up and admits his guilt to his brother and the world and surrenders himself to the law is the day I will think those words with suit him. Even today for me Dev is a confused selfish soul.

But very nicely written and I don't expect anything less than perfection from you. So kudos.

Ash, good morning!! I agree that it is not enough to feel guilty and remorseful, but that it is the first step on the road to redemption. You can't reform a person who does not feel remorse and regret while you have half-a-chance with a person riddled by guilt.

Yes, he will come clean and face the ghosts of his past deeds. He will pay for his crimes, fear ye' not!!

Acting wise, the guy seems to have improved in the last episode so I am still counting on him to find his muse to emote.

Hey Bri:

Now I understand your perspective better. I liked your lines today. My family always tells me that Hate is too strong an emotion to feel for anyone. Hate does truly destroy people and relationships. There is always a dislike is every relationship, but never hate. I am yet to understand the true sense of hate till today.

But if Dev Khurana manages to feel "Hate" for himself, that I believe is repentance.

But like you said the story is far away from depicting these emotions for the character Dev. I wish they could manage to convey something on similar lines.

Great update Bri.

Hate is a very strong word and an equally strong emotion. Even though Dev deserves to be hated, I think he is lucky that people around him - Dadi, Maan, Meera and even Geet for that matter don't hate him as much as he deserves and hence I call him lucky.

Nice writing sweetie. Wonder where all this is coming from??
