and i believe it may take time but the new actor may success in his own way....after all guru is not the only intense actor around....one gud example is rajeev khandelwal....whoever thot anyone other than RK as sujal but even with someone else taking over the role of sujal the show ran for more than one year....
one second!!! did you say another actor? why are you evening thinking further of an impossibility ... the PH waaley themselves have clarified.... Gurmeet is sick, but other actors are going to fill in for the moment .. and there are no new entrys or cameos as well... and the question of comparing RK to GC just doesnt arise ... RK fought with ekta and they parted ways on a bitter note ... the trps of the show fell drastically and the only reason why the show ran was thanks to the clout Ekta enjoys on StarPlus ...
i dont think fall of TRP can be stopped....as far as i know that u ppl who r IF members r not stopping from watching the show....there is a very solid reason behind this....you all assemble to discuss the show....get updated news from the PH....encourage each other to continue watching....
but those who r not IF members (i believe not even 1% of geet viewers r IF members)...r rapidly quitting the show....my cousins and my friends hv been telling me that y all of a sudden the show is going down the drain...where is maan....
well .. simple answer, when they know IF provides all the comfort that you are talking of, why dont yuo come join babe ?have u seen the number of people FB has on the geet forum ? its 35000 .. and you know how many trp meters we have in the whole country 7000- presuming even four fifth of the people quit the show over night the trp would still be somewhere around 1 ... also i believe ..if a show is good, people stick by it no matter what .. they may run around, do then other thngs during the time of the show .. but they still watch it ...
most of them do not know about guru's illness although those with whom i hv direct contact know now as i hv told them....but even though they r guru fans (actually most of them r maan fans and not guru)...they r saying that they cant wait till guru's recovery....they say that they r sorry for him but they say that with busy lives and tension wat they need is entertainment and relaxation from tv....and for them geet is relaxing and entertaining with maneet scenes and nothing else....
you cant expect someone to watch a show only for the story and thats absolutely understandable .. if they have quit the show cos Guru aint arnd, these very people will come back as soon as Guru returns as well.. but in the meanwhile, we the members of this forum shall carry the torch forward! yeah? itna toh kar hi sakte hai na hum apne show ke liye .. presuming we are around 500 of us on this forum, and all of us watch the show for Guru's sake ... and DD's sake ... we will contribute to atleast 0.5 of the TRP .... cant we do this much?
as for geet fighting for her cause is a gud social issue no doubt....but for that there r other channels like imagine, colors, star plus etc....from star one they only want youth oriented shows like romance, comedy and thrillers....
are we not being selfish here? and perhaps this is why production houses and channels pressurise their actors despite their failing health ... yes star one is a youth based show ... but geet does carry a message .. it is the story and the struggle of a young girl who has been impregnated by a man who walks out on her .. young girls who get cheated into love and marriage need to learn a lesson from this to not trust men who appear to be all nice and sweet .. every show at the end of the day seeks to deliver a message .. this one's no diff.. and i think they have chosen a wonderful time to convery this, cos people wouldnt wanna watch it otherwise .. but if you dont tackle the issues you started, then why start them in the first place right?
mindless drama is unwanted in this channel...so y will we continue watching geet when there r other gud shows running in other channels...we hv no responsibility towards guru and so we cant keep watching boring episodes for him....yes...wen he will return we will revert back to the show provided we do not get hooked to any other show....but in the meantime with guru's absence the show has no attraction for us and so no question of watching it....
by all means go ahead! watch anything that pleases you ... no ones obligating you to watch the show .. and mind you .. this is not mindless drama .. if you wanna watch sugar sweet romance, then dare to watch the other side of a love story too, that has pain, anxiety, separation .. anger .. life is not a dream.. and tv shows are a reflection of life .. we like Geet cos, we relate to alot of emotions.. now the moment things turn a lil bitter you wanna walk away? is this how you would abandon something you love and something that gave you happiness cos you dont like it anymore ? well.. the choice for sure is urs cos its only a show .. but for many of us out here .. its way more than that , thats why we stick by it .. no matter what .. and one actors failing health doesnt deter us .. it infact it draws us closer to the show .. cos we realised during this time, how attached we have got to the show and the actors on it ...
after a whole day's work and fatigue....we cant tire ourselves more by watching a boring show just because guru who is totally unrelated to us is ill....
our life doesnt stop even wen our near and dear ones r ill....so it is ridiculous for the PH to expect us to wait for guru's recovery....
simple hai na honey ... mat dekho ... move over .. come back when you want you .. i believe we are a good number of people here who will stick by it no matter what .. we will continue watching it and we believe we will be able to sustain the show with our loyality towards it ...
so....with hundreds quitting the show....i am afraid by the time guru returns the show will become such a flop show that even guru will find it herculean task to revive it....after all, many geet viewers by that time may become engrossed with other shows....
which hundreds are you talking of? i know a lot of people who are enjoying the current track .. they think Geet has picked up and has gained the substance it was lacking thanks to romance, they feel, the issues that had been buried deep under have finally been dealt with .. many people loved the way geet finally stood up for herself in last nights episode cos she was sure she was not the one in the wrong.
finally i want to say that it is noone's fault....not guru, nor the PH, nor the channel....just bad luck that such a wonderful show is going towards untimely death....its a loss for viewers as well as loss for the channel...

id wish to believe geet's team are a bunch of fighters .. they will strike back and all those that have quit the show .. would come back, and infact bring in more people ... till then, we are not forcing you to watch what yuo dont like ...
