a mail from a non IF member....PLZ READ....

one of my very close friend who is not IF member has given me a mail...she wrote me this because i hv been pestering her to continue watching geet....


"guru needs rest for maybe another couple of weeks or so....which means for next two weeks no maan....
i am afraid that TRP will fall drastically and the channel may hv to take other steps....like scraping the show or bringing in someone else as maan....i agree the second option is like murdering the show....but it is very common formula of any daily show....

and i believe it may take time but the new actor may success in his own way....after all guru is not the only intense actor around....one gud example is rajeev khandelwal....whoever thot anyone other than RK as sujal but even with someone else taking over the role of sujal the show ran for more than one year....

i dont think fall of TRP can be stopped....as far as i know that u ppl who r IF members r not stopping from watching the show....there is a very solid reason behind this....you all assemble to discuss the show....get updated news from the PH....encourage each other to continue watching....
but those who r not IF members (i believe not even 1% of geet viewers r IF members)...r rapidly quitting the show....my cousins and my friends hv been telling me that y all of a sudden the show is going down the drain...where is maan....

most of them do not know about guru's illness although those with whom i hv direct contact know now as i hv told them....but even though they r guru fans (actually most of them r maan fans and not guru)...they r saying that they cant wait till guru's recovery....they say that they r sorry for him but they say that with busy lives and tension wat they need is entertainment and relaxation from tv....and for them geet is relaxing and entertaining with maneet scenes and nothing else....

as for geet fighting for her cause is a gud social issue no doubt....but for that there r other channels like imagine, colors, star plus etc....from star one they only want youth oriented shows like romance, comedy and thrillers....
mindless drama is unwanted in this channel...so y will we continue watching geet when there r other gud shows running in other channels...we hv no responsibility towards guru and so we cant keep watching boring episodes for him....yes...wen he will return we will revert back to the show provided we do not get hooked to any other show....but in the meantime with guru's absence the show has no attraction for us and so no question of watching it....

after a whole day's work and fatigue....we cant tire ourselves more by watching a boring show just because guru who is totally unrelated to us is ill....
our life doesnt stop even wen our near and dear ones r ill....so it is ridiculous for the PH to expect us to wait for guru's recovery....

so....with hundreds quitting the show....i am afraid by the time guru returns the show will become such a flop show that even guru will find it herculean task to revive it....after all, many geet viewers by that time may become engrossed with other shows....

finally i want to say that it is noone's fault....not guru, nor the PH, nor the channel....just bad luck that such a wonderful show is going towards untimely death....its a loss for viewers as well as loss for the channel...
but, then this is life....some losses we hv no choice but to endure"

P.S. guys...i deleted my mail by mistake but before that i had taken a print out....actually i was checking my printer to see if it is working fine....nywy, so i had to type manually the whole letter and i did it in my own way....i mean all the dots r my personal style....my friend did not put the dots...

sorry to say but gurmeet ki bagair yeh CV cala rahi hai but track abi bhi maaneet ke gird ghoom raha so gurmeet ki recovery par dobara se story apne theek track par chal jaye ge aur fanz wait kare ge ok

after receiving the mail....i hv been worrying...although the members here r very encouraging and optimistic and i want to get swayed by all the wonderful posts....but then the letter above is very practical and my friend was being painfully honest about the present scenario....

it is true na that the general public doesnt care whether guru is ill or not....they only want entertainment and nothing else....and many r ready to see another actor in place of guru....provided that actor can create chemistry with DD...

and i am afraid that is highly possible....after all, if DD cud hv chemistry with mayank (Dr. rahul of DMG), then GC, then y not with any other actor....

all i know is that if GC is sick then i am willing to wait for him to get better and return to the show BUT i dont want a new Maan ( as ppl have been saying on IF ) - NO WAY please cvs dont change maan GC is the best maan ever and no one can replace him - lets just hope for the best and hope and pray that GC gets better and also DD and they both will be together - maneet forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊

Just let it be, show is not goin anywhere! Jeez all these rumors...me falling asleep!

plz understand guys the above is a letter from my friend...it is entirely her view and she represents general public and their opinion and viewership counts....

also understand this is at all NOT my view....i cannot in my wildest dream imagine that anyone other than GC can be maan...he must NEVER be replaced....as for me i will continue watching till he returns....i hvnt even stopped watching the repeat at 11....
although from wed-sun i will miss both original and repeats because of durga pujo....
but from next week again i will be full feldged viewer....

btw...can anyone tell if GC is taking break for durga pujo...he said in his interview that he will be going to siliguri for 5 days because of the pujo...a trip to siliguri will heal him more as he can then take complete rest....and hilly regions always hv positive effect on health....so maybe GC is going ahead with his plans for siliguri trip....

i'm sorry but i don't understand the purpose of this post.... people are already upset here and ur friend's letter is not helping matters... what is the need to make a topic which is only going to spread negativity??

I know that all the fans on IF will watch the show regularly cuz we know GC needs to rest, but for the sake of the CV's and the trp's (cuz the cv's get affected by them) i hope GC starts shooting even if it's just his face

my question....wts the point of spreadin so much of negativity........n/ tell me which other show is good enough to get HOOKED??? YE RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI ...???
