Jokes aside in all seriousness I would request the channel to please hold the editors that they employed in the last week or so in check. Nissar and team know how to do their job and they are darn good at it. So please let them do their jobs in peace. We understand that you have certain constraints and need the TRPs. Geet has the TRPs and so I do not understand this necessity to sacrifice quality for quantity. Some quick points
Geet has a much more mature audience than shows like MJHT and DMG and we are here for the essence of the show. Just showing us bare male torsos is not going to make us happy. If you heard us from the end of last week we have been yelling from rooftops about the lack of substance in the episodes. Today we find out the channel is to blame and you edited out extremely important scenes that would have bound the story together and made the episodes really strong.
What is the most heartbreaking is that the actors and the crew would have worked so hard on those scenes and the editor just ruthlessly chopped them. I want to see these scenes. They sound very very special. Is there any chance we could still see them as a maha episode of deleted scenes maybe. This will definitely increase your TRPs - I can personally guarantee that.
Please stop moving so fast. Dev-Geet confrontation can wait a few more weeks. Maan and Geet need to be secure in their relationship before this happens. Let me remind you of a mistake you would rather forget - it was called Love Ne Mila Di Jodi (LNMDJ). You had a wonderful cast and storyline but you messed it up because you wanted TRPs and got it on the fast path. In that series you got Prithvi and Damini married for TRP sake and then the whole thing just went down the tubes at the speed of light. As a last ditch attempt you killed Ila Gujral and tried the much despised Gharelu track. What happened? How long did the series run after that? All the fans abandoned you and rightly so because you did not respect our wishes and our voices.
We know you have pressures but you can tell them to hold off until it is time. Would it have killed you to have had a few more meaningful conversations between the leads in Geet before you had the "Roop tera mastana" sequence? I think not. Instead you seem to be intent on getting on a bullet train. I just hope you don't crash and burn in an effort to increase the speed and achieve more TRPs.
My sincere request to you is to let Nissar and the team run the show. They conceptualized the show and they know how to do their jobs. The TRPs of the show are as important to them as to you. So could you please back off and let them do their jobs. We can also go back to enjoying the show instead of spending time agonizing over the fact that a promising show might end because of shoddy management and you can actually spend your time figuring out how to raise the TRPs of the other shows on your channel. That way everybody is happy.
