Maybe I'm looking at it a bit too practically, but I don't understand this anger or at least why Maan has to be aggressive/indifferent to Geet right now. Shock...yes ok...but why the gussa?? đĄ When did Geet ever promise him anything? Were they a couple? Did she tell him she was in love with him and make any commitment? I thought they were 'just friends'...and more so, he's her boss...i don't think the first person I'll run up to inform my pregnancy would be my boss!! Why did she have to tell him anything?
Ok, now I understand that it was always implied that they cared for each other, but he never told her fully that he loved her, even the engagement was fake! Which girl, let alone a vulnerable, cheated 18-year old is going to trust the biggest secret based on just fierce attraction. He saved her life...true...but I think she chose the correct moment to tell Maan the truth...when he himself urged her to let go of everything and trust him.
Finally, umm...what was he expecting? He KNOWS and is pretty cockily confident of her love for him (which I love btw)...so being the smart guy that he is, he knew there was some dark secret of enormous proportions ...so what did he think it was gonna be? How many reasons can families possibly have to resort to such barbaric methods as honour-killings? It was either gonna be an unsuitable lover or an illegitimate child...would he have preferred the former to the latter?!?
So to conclude, i can accept the shock and the anger, just not the treatment being meted out to Geet...he cannot blame her without knowing the full reasons and he cannot blame her for not telling him earlier...she told him when she felt she could and felt comfortable to do so...and any woman...heck, any human being has that right!!
