Is it just me or did you all also feel that THIS Hoshiarpur was not like THAT Hoshiarpur ? Something was missing ! the scenes and places had to be different , I know , the home was not to be shown , I know , but somehow , in the treatment of the whole thing , the atmosphere , the FEEL of Hoshiarpur was missing (the Hoshiarpur as we knew it for many months before moving to Delhi)..... I dont know if this is due to change in writers..... the world in the first person's mind could not get captured in the second person's mind...the essence was missing....
I found Hoshiarpur-1 was very complete, very satisfactory , very coherent and portrayed a complete feel of the place and society , whereas Hoshiarpur-2 distinctly felt like a series of "sets"
devoid of soul ..including the last one where Geet is apprehended- didnt that set seem unreal and unconvincing ? I kind of felt so, I dont know why...
I enjoyed the Maneet scenes wherever they came because that is Maneet magic , but overall , this whole (second) Hoshiarpur has left me feeling unsatisfied and feeling I was not in Hoshiarpur but on some unfamiliar sets...
I dont know , was it just me , or did anyone else feel that way ?

i get what you mean ... but i guess the makers were apprehensive about moving the track to HP as they were worried about the TRP's and thats perhaps one of the reasons why they very breezily went thro the whole thing ...

another thing is .. Gurmeet is not arnd.. so there has been alot of cut and paste happening through out the week... that does make a lot of difference ...

the screenplay writer of the show has always been the same though the story writers have changed .. but that doesnt have anything to do with the way the sets were erected .. obv last time they were full time shooting at one location, this time they perhaps didnt want to do it just for a short track.. thats why they avoided it ...

but yes the feel of HP wasnt there !! i expected a little more ... but then again i guess the behind the scenes issues hampered it all..!!

Hmm... as you say, I guess they wanted to give it just ab reezy treatment ! atleast they ended up giving it. And do you say Gurmeet is already not around? I thought may be he is still there and they are showing him less and banking episodes.... but you are right there was certainly a lot of cutting and pasting going on ....may be that's the main reason why it could have felt patchy and less saisfactory !
Not that I didnt enjoy the episodes, but yes,i think I too was expecting a lot more from Hoshiarpur and that may have let me down ....but on a positive note, may be there's more to come , after all we are still in HP today also and then Friday is also there...😊

VJ .......not only that..........i think some Drashti and Gurmeet scenes bhi separately shoot kiye the.........editing ka kamal dikh raha tha.........the car scene ,.......too many close ups..............also Geet meeting her bro and sis........Maan standing far away looked odd.......to me atleast.........hope they've shot important Maaneet scenes with them both.........before Guru goes on vacation,....... and hopefully they ARE banking the epis. .........otherwise.......they are gonna screw up big time..........stand-ins can't make the scene extraordinary.......only the actors can........👍🏼

I agree with honeydew, the behind the scenes issues affected the on-screen outcome of the track. They do seem to be rushing through with it but it would have been difficult to get the exact same feel as the sets have been modified to suit the Dehli setting. I mean they never once showed the inside of Geet's house since that set has been transformed into Maan's house instead (the doors are identical).

More than the ambience of the scenes, i'm concerned that this track be fruitful. In that we get her past being revealed at the end. I'll be disappointed otherwise.

ya, hope that after the malaria crisis they have learnt their lesson and will bank wisely and show us proper scenes till Gurmeet comes back ... and I too felt the diting jerks and discontinuity ...tho I enjoyed some scenes also , not criticising for everything..
