He looked at the fallen vase that had rolled a few feet away from where he stood. After a long moment, he looked at her.

"You were about to attack me?"

"I thought it was an intruder, so ….," she ended lamely.

"This place is well guarded."

"Well, I wasn't sure. Anyway it's getting late, so goodnight." She replied tartly and started up the staircase.

"What's the hurry?" he asked. "Here is something for you."

"For me?"

"You sound surprised!" He put his hand in his pocket and drew out a small jewel box.

She gasped. "I couldn't….. I can't accept this."

Skeppy - Part II is just beautiful. Loved the part I have copied/pasted below. It applies so perfectly to their situation right now....

(He didn't know what attracted him to her. Perhaps it was her innocence, her naivet and her shyness. She wasn't coquettish and she was completely guileless. As she stood before him, her eyes pleaded with him. What was she asking for? Those limpid pools were sending all kinds of messages to him. He laughed inwardly. It was enough to make him feel confused. She wanted him but begged for understanding. She wanted him to stay with her but was too afraid to speak. She wanted him to come to her but shied away at the same time. What the hell was he supposed to do?)

What we lack is to be aware,

whats right, whats not and when to dare,

Choices may go wrong and the blows may be hard to bear,

Lets not cause more anguish, with opinions and judegments in abundance,

Our society is made up of us, lend your heart and make a small difference,

Ttalking and pointing wont help, they dont really need our tuppence,

Lets not decide for others and tell them how to live,

But if they fall, its help and love one must give,

Not for us to count mistakes and follies through our faulty sieve,

There is only one, the one above who has the right to forgive.

Just read Part II ..... its raining here .... was feeling quite gloomy this morning ....

Her hesitation 😳, him probing 😆 and then fixing the earrings haq say ❤️ Phir admiring the way those earrings complimented her outfit 😍 AWESOME ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quoting the parts i loved:

I was expecting him to say: Take a look at yourself 😊

He enfolded her and held her firmly. She felt happy all of a sudden and safe too. Maan Singh Khurana at that moment made up his mind that come what may, this woman was going to stay with him for life.
