Interesting observations! :-)

Again, as a woman, I don't have any problem with Geet and Maan getting together. No moral or mindset issues...

It would be wonderful if the serial could provide credence to a bond between a man, woman and a child that transcends pre-conceived societal norms.

However, that was really not the issue that my husband was alluding to. His views were less about whether the marriage was consummated or not and more about the bond with his brother. Mann will definitely have to chose between Geet and Dev...he cant have both relationships when the truth comes out...and for some men who have very strong bonds with their brothers (maybe Mann does not fall in that category), it will become very difficult to break that bond...however weak/wrong their sibling is. I guess the CVs covered this issue with Maan and Dev being step brothers and Mann having disowned Dev before...so I guess they are laying the ground for the showdown.

On the issue on Maan delving into Geet's past...I think Maan would be a very careful, insightful person who would loathe to 'jump into conclusions' on anybody or anything. He would want to know the 'facts' before he arrives at any decision...however painful the facts may be or the decision too. He is a business man and cant but be used to operating that way. Every decision he makes/every person he meets will be assessed....that should come naturally to him by now....given this I think it is out of character that he has not gone into Geet's past by now. I cant but agree with my husband on that.

Someone made a comment on IF that maybe he went to Hoshiyarpur instead of the airport on the night he went missing...to reconcile why Geet would want to go away from him...despite her eyes and actions giving him the view that she obviously cares for and respects him. That would be a view that I would concur with. That maps to Mann's character...I cant imagine someone like him being 'surprised'. He should be too smart for that.

I like it when fairytales are tinged with reality Sookie. Makes them more exciting to me.

well....i guess maan didnt need to know much about geet...he already knows her family....he knows that geet is an 18 year old girl from a conservative punjabi family....a family where girls r treated less like dirt....he also had this notion that she had an affair and went to amritsar with him to meet her lover....but then because she returned home he thot that the lover dumped her....then he saw her bro trying to kill her and he saved her from that.....
after that she turns up in delhi and gets a job in his company....so he thinks he already knows everything about her.....he can never suspect that she was married once since he never saw her with sindoor or mangalsutra....

and as for sis-in-law thing....i agree it will b something almost impossible to digest for maan....but then the marriage was fake but as geet said the consummation was real....and it will even be shocker to maan that the girl whom he used to stare at, hold in his arms is not virgin like he used to thot....well....i guess the truth once exposed will be a big blow to maan's ego...

i guess the news of geet's pregnancy will be less shock to maan than knowing who the father is....i just hope maan will hv the heart to bear the pain of knowing that geet has slept with his bro....

also, i think the entire thing depends on the individual POV....since i am a girl i find it very difficult to read a man's perspective....but still i think sometimes life puts us in the craziest situations where we hv to choose our own way to progress....i think everything will depend upon how strongly maan feels for geet....if he at all cannot live widout her....then he will consider everything....after all nothing is geet's fault....dev being the baby's father can create probs later on....but that too depends on how maan and geet handles the situation....

^^ I have to agree with the part of fairytales with a dash of reality makes it exciting watch. But I want the percentage of realism more than that of fairytale, quite honestly. Only then it becomes a story many can relate to...

I think Maan's character has been fairly consistent so far. While he may be a shrewd businessman, I dont think that should imply that he should do a background check on Geet before deciding to pursue her armourously. Love is essentially a matter of the heart and not the head. Here we are shown that Maan already knew quite a bit about Geet before she had come to Delhi. He knew that her family was trying to kill her. He presumed it had to do with some love affair with Gurvinder. As he was not interested in the girl, he did not press on about her personal life when she joined his company. But when he started developing feelings for her, we did see him try to find out more about her when they got locked in that room (hum tum sequence). He asked her bluntly who was Gurvinder and Geet already told him who he was. She was all set to come clean with everything but seeing how disturbed she was about her past he did not want her to subject herself to that pain by recollecting her past. This goes to show that he cares more for her feelings than to satisfy his own curiosity.
From whatever he has seen of Geet, he found no cause to doubt her character. In fact when he lost his head and accused of being a gold digger, he regrets it right after that. He knew she did not come across as one. Now he has reached a stage where he is already head over heels in love with her and I guess at this stage, he thinks her past really does not matter to him.
We do not know how he will react when the whole truth comes out but I am keeping my fingers crossed that Maan will not behave like any typical man and show his strength of character. If at all he tries to dig her past now, I think it would be more out of concern to get to the bottom of this and ensure that justice is done by her rather than concern for his own well being.
Call me a hopeless romantic, but that is what I want to see.

when maan realised that he has developed strong feelings for geet he himself decided to keep a distance from her.......he was in a denial mode from the very beginning.........we even saw that at the launch party when geet was trying to explain why she hugged him he plainly said he is not interested in knowing wat she feels......so wat basically i want to say is dat knowing the kind of person msk is and also now dat we know his past still haunts him so he can very easily understand wat state of mind geet is going through ....he knows wat it feels when someone very close to u betrays u.....nd besides it was maan's own decesion not to know bout her past he is very well aware dat it is very difficult for her to leave her family nd start a new life all over again........so i think he not inquiring about geet's past is okay coz for him its not imp dat wat kind of past u hav bt more imp is how do u handle tough times in life....
and for d second pt i think she cannot be called his sister in law....i mean c'mon guys may be all d the formalities of a hindu marriage were completed bt it was illegal in fact to be more specific i would call it a fraud a crime for which dev nd nt should be behind bars.....second marriage is not acceptable neither by the society nor by the law.... 😊

Totally agree, If he really loves her than the one thing that matter to him most is Geet's comfort..her well being ..her happiness....And a Maan type man can go to any extant to help her ...there are rare chances for him to leave geet just becoz of his bro and her physical relations......

I am sure he will be shocked initially ..which is quite natural ...he will be mad over Dev and NT ...but after a moment he will look at Geet and try to find out wht she wants and how can he console and comfort her..........
For Sure that is gonna be in very difficult situation after knowing the truth....but he has to face it..ultimately
