Ha, Ha, bDgt, this is one where I want YOU to win. Please do. In your victory lies that of Sookie and all of us who've backed her call.

@whitefantasy: Whatever she handled was "implied". Implying something and actually showing something on screen is different.
I wanted her to get out of that "This is how middle class people do, live blah blah" line and actually do something rationaly which does not involve any emotional dialgoues. Like the way it happens in real world.
I don't care a damn any more from this serial :-) Oh well, this is what I WANTED once upon a time.

i know what you mean... that is something even i had wanted...
Give solid reasons for why shedoes something... and use her brains for God sake!
The best thing i used to like about the serial (which i saw in the 'chicken soup...' thing of yours 😆) was the never-say-die attitude of both MSK and Geet... that whole 'if anyone can do it, it is me'
Oh, and while we're at it...
i would have loved to see MSK teaching Geet how to drive a car... and pillion-rising with her on that Scooty...
(sigh)

Jesus! I was actually writing about MSK harassing (in Chicken soup of course!) Geet to learn driving and she giving wonderful reasons as to why not!
I drive a bike myself and I get harassed by my co-workers to buy a damn car!
Most of my works in Chicken soup, at least the dialogues and the situations part of it, are all derived from daily interactions I have with my colleagues and friends :-) Since it has been raining like mad out here, I have been practically ragged to buy a car as I am drenching every evening while driving back and have perpetual cold!!!

Till date all of the posts I've read in context of Geet this is something quite mature and rational...something that definitely stands out from the rest and is a part of reality!

Though now I've stopped watching the serial coz its turned into yet another dramatic soaps, where all the protagonist do is fight or cry or blame the order...confrontation is something different not everyone is ready to confront each other but handling it in a manner is also something, which this show has just side tracked!

When this show had started and the things you mentioned...I too wished the same you see.
Education is important in any form...it always doesn't mean you've to be a Ph.D or something else but it should atleast make you independent....and it doesn't matter what you pursue, and I was really sad when they altogether just scraped the education thing n love and all came in between...not that I was against it, yet there was not proper synchronization n balance....

The dadi-Geet convo was also something I wanted..though they've captured it somewhere in little amounts...something is better than nothing!

Overall the show has just become just a show wherein half of the things don't happen in reality the way it does here, but at the beginning I felt it was close to reality ! but now I reckon any thing of that sort will happen, looking at the way the story is moving forward...

I really missed this thread Sookie, thanks for the link...its a great one....really hoped that the CV's had read this one...!!!

Take Care.
