Maan's down with the bug

STAR One's No.1 show Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi's main lead Maan Singh Khurana (Gurmeet Chaudhay) is down with malaria. This is soon after he was down with a shoulder injury.

The actor hasn't been shooting for a few days now, after he was advised complete bed rest by doctors.

When we contacted, Maan, he said, "I have been advised bed rest. I'm on medication which has made me weak. It has depressed my appetite. Yesterday, I was shooting in close-ups because I was unable to walk. Right now, I don't have fever but I had 100 degrees on Saturday."

He added that his friend Debina has been making khichadi for him. "She has also been giving me tender coconut water which is good for health. I hope to recover soon."

We also spoke to his concerned friend Debina, who said, "He is doing much better now. There is weakness from the medicines, but he'll be shooting from tomorrow onwards. I have told him not to work for more than five hours, as compared to the 20 hours that he would put in earlier."

When we told Maan about all the get-well-soon wishes that are pouring in from his fans from across the board, especially on his fan club and on his facebook page. Maan was very touched. He told us that he will read through all the comments and try and reply to as many, soon as he gets back in his full form. He also assures to invite one of the fans on sets to watch him during shoot. But he quickly adds will happen only when he is completely fit and fine because, he says, "I don't want my fans to see me when I am not at my best! I am my best because of all of you' "

In the show, Geet realizes that her feelings for Maan have increased and that he is now an important part of her life. But she knows that her child's responsibility comes first. She decides to leave Maan and applies for a job before leaving Maan's house. Maan tries giving Geet a rose, but finally decides against it and puts it in a file. This is discovered by Sasha, who tells Geet to throw the rose in the dustbin as Maan hates roses. Maan is shocked to see Geet applying for jobs.
