okay i'm back to reveal the suspense about the secret caller...so here is the next update...!!!! 😛
Part 61
This is enough now, maan thought! He dialed a number and waited for the person to answer, "hello MK, so finally did my love compel you to call me?"
"Oh you call this love? I call it stupidity", said maan trying to remain as calm as possible.
"MK, after all these years, this is what I hear from you! You have no right to criticize my love".
"Just give up!"
"I'm in love with a man who does not give up, so why should I?"
"Because that man is never going to change his cardinal rules for you".
"When you could do it for geet, why not for me? you knew me before you knew her. I'm educated, modern, beautiful and ofcourse…"
Maan cut her, "Listen, we are not bringing geet into this discussion. You are right, you are educated, so behave like one!"
"Oh! Geet not to be mentioned, why?"
"Maan Singh Khurana does not find the need to go around explaining to the world why he does certain things. I'm keeping this short, just get a life and don't waste your time ".
"MK" said the lady raising her tone slightly.
"You can scream my name all your life, its not going to help. Don't push me to an extent where my patience runs out and I have to do something that you would lament later. I have been understanding and tolerant in the last two days and you know why. I am much more powerful than you can imagine. So stay in your limits.".
Saying so he hung up and went to bed. He had a long day ahead and he did not want to waste his time thinking about trivial issues.
Saturday morning, Geet received a wake up call from Maan. She was furious that he disturbed her sleep. she took the call and yelled angrily, "Mr. Maan Khurana jab mujhe aapke saath rehna hota tha,aap mujhe neend ke naam se waha se ghar bagathe hain aur ab jab mujhe sona hota hai, aap mujhe zabardasti uta the hai! aakhir aap chahte kya hai?"
"main tumhe chahta hoon, samjhi tum! Ab suno, doctor appointment at 4pm. Tab tak rest karo. See you jaan!" and hung up.
Geet thought for sometime, if she had to go to the doctor at 4pm, then she had ample time to go to the farmhouse and finish all her work. She took pinky along with her. She was surprised to find Kapil and Kia at the lobby.
"hey geet!" screamed Kia, "tum yaha kaise?"
"kaam tha, isiliye aana pada. Exams ki wajah se nahi aa payi. Aur tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?"
"yeh mera boring brother hai na, yeh mujhe shopping karne le jaane wale the. Lekin kuch kaam yaad aa gaya and now see where I'm stuck!" she grumbled.
Geet and pinky started laughing Kapil and Kia got into a cushion fight. Geet loved the relationship both Kapil-Kia shared. She was sad her brother was never so close, understanding and fun-loving like how Kapil was, for his sister. She walked away to the room she worked in and sat there still lost in thought.
Flashes of Brij coming to kill her played in front of her eyes, her eyes got teary and her forehead got sweaty. All of a sudden she was feeling cold and numb. She felt weak in her knees and she felt she was going to faint. She caught her head tight. She wanted to yell out to pinky or kia for help but she could not. Her mouth went dry and she could not think of anything.
She tried getting up from her chair, but collapsed on it, when someone offered her a glass of water. She could not see who it was, as her eyes were blurred. She grabbed the glass and drank it. That person, pulled her a little closer and held her head for sometime and massaged it.
"how are you now?" came that person's voice.
Geet who was a little in control now, recognized the voice. She looked up in shock and found Sasha standing in front of her still holding geet's head and massaging it a little.
"geet, tum theek ho?" she asked blankly.
"ji, main theek hoon, thanks!" she said moving away a little.
Sasha withdrew her hands from geet's forehead and sat in the chair in front of her. She asked geet, "how many months pregnant are you?"
Geet had not expected this. She did not know what to say, she looked at Sasha bewildered. Sasha looked at her very plainly. Geet could not comprehend her expressions and now that she knew that geet was pregnant, there was no point hiding it.
"ji, 6 months" she said finally composing herself.
"hmmm, aur tumhare pati Canada mein rehte hain na?" she asked.
"ji aapko kaise pata?" geet asked shocked.
"woh dr. amrita meri friend hai. usne bataya kit um aur MK uske paas gaye the!"
Geet hated the doctor for leaking out her personal details. She slept like slapping her for talking nonsense that day and for not respecting her privacy today.
Geet changed the topic, "aap yaha kaise?"
"Main Kapil se milne aayi thi. Hum dono ek project pe kaam kar rahe the, tuo saath mein designs draft karni thi. And I was passing by this room when I saw you collapse on to the chair".
"thanks!" geet said gratefully. No matter how much geet disliked Sasha, she was the one who came to her rescue today.
Sasha smiled and said, "you don't have to thank me geet".
She got up and walked out of the room. Geet was confused. Sasha had not spoken a word extra, she had not for once taunted her. Instead she helped her today. How could it be possible?
Sasha walked out of the room and wiped her tears away. She felt pain for the first time in her life. She did not know why. Her friendship with maan was ever since they were kids, but she did not know it would one day grow into love. why did she save geet today when she knows her MK is away from her because of geet? she did not have an answer and she did not wish to find out. It would hurt her. But there was something mysterious in their story. Geet is pregnant and maan is definitely not her child's father, then who could it be? Or was she simply comprehending the whole story wrong? Was it simply her feeling that maan and geet were in love when the truth is something else? She did not know. She did not know how she would know the truth too. But she had to know it.
She recalled the conversation with MK, two days, back, during lunch. Maan looked happy because the meeting had gone well.
"MK, you look happy! And good to see you smile" said sasha smiling.
"Thanks, Sasha!" said Maan looking into the menu card.
"Can I tell you something?" said Sasha slightly getting fidgety now.
"Sasha, I thought, you've always expressed your feelings point blank" said maan finally looking at her.
Sasha had placed her right hand on his and said, "MK, I love you!"
Maan immediately withdrew his hand and said, "Sasha, I'm sorry!" that's it those were the words that broke her heart. She got teary, when maan spoke again, "I have never maintained any relation with anyone except my daadima. You know that. You also know that I do not wish to get into any relationships. I'm sorry for hurting you but please do not expect anything from me".
Sasha had tears in her eyes, "MK, you've changed. You are not the same MK, I've known for years now. Since when did you start giving explainations for what you've done. And you just said "sorry" MK? I seriously want to know who got about this change in you".
Maan remembered the first time he apologized and it was to geet. and after that he lost track of how many times he apologized to her. A slight smile came on his face and sasha noticed it.
"MK?" she said questioningly.
"Sasha, I have not changed. I'm still the same angry young man whose ego is bigger than life".
"MK, you've known me for so many years, not once did you feel anything?"
"Sasha, you are a good friend and one of those few people, Maan Khurana, has ever trusted or will ever trust. But, Sasha, feeling something for a person, I don't know. I've always felt gratitude for what you've done. You've managed the office in my absence and never gave me a chance to complain. I appreciate all that. You've emerged as a right hand to me in my business matters and sometimes I wonder what I would do if you were not in office. But that's where it stops Sasha. I've never considered or looked at you from any other perspective and I would not. Sasha, knowing the person, I am, I don't think I am the right one for you! You should just move on".
"But MK" said Sasha trying to make sense of what maan had just spoken. There were a lot of things going on in her mind that she could not think of what to say first.
"Sasha" said Maan calmly, "I'm soyry once again, but, we have to end the matter here, we're not discussing it anymore".
"MK, how can you ignore someone's feelings so easily? Does it not affect you even a bit?"
"No, it does not!" said Maan looking straight into her eyes.
"why MK?" asked Sasha crying.
"Sasha, I do not wish to answer that question", said Mk picking up the menu card again.
"you have to!" said sasha pullin away the card from his hand.
"Sasha, you're overdoing it", said Maan still remaining calm.
"No, I'm not. I want an answer. Do you love someone else MK? Has someone made a place in your heart much before I did?" said sasha almost yelling now. Maan looked around and found people looking curiously at them.
"Sasha, stop this!" said Maan angrily, "You are creating a scene here. We'll talk about this later. Just tell me what you want for lunch".
"I don't want anything. I want you, MK!" said Sasha still maintaining the high tone in her voice.
Maan who tried his level best to maintain his calm, finally lost all of it. He snapped the menu card on the table and screamed, "Look, stop being foolish. I do not have to answer your questions. And why do you want me, Sasha- for money, for fame?"
"Money or Fame?" said sasha laughing hysterically. ""MK, even if you give up all your property before coming to me, I would still love you the same! But please accept me and my love MK. I cannot imagine living without you.
"Sasha, it is just not possible. Stop being so serious about it".
Sasha looked at Maan for sometime quietly. Maan looked away in anger. He wanted to get out of the restaurant, but, he did not want to leave Sasha alone there. Sasha spoke again, "geet ki wajah se MK?"
Maan was shocked when he heard geet's name. he looked at her and sasha continued, "MK, geet ki wajah se aapne mujhe nahi apnaya. Right? Us geet ki wajah se aapne mujhe tok diya? Us ghawaar ki wajah se MK?"
"sasha, mind your language" said maan raging in anger.
"Why should I? You got fooled by her innocence? She is pregnant, did she ever tell you that? She does not stay with her husband and no one even knows if she was ever married. She happily kept fooling around with you and you fell flat for her tricks MK? I don't believe this, MAan Singh Khurana, fooled by a small town illiterate girl".
"Sasha!" yelled Maan, "why did Geet come into the picture? And as far her pregnancy and other issues are concerned, its her personal life and we have no right to interfere in it".
"Right! Theek hai, chod dete hain!" said Sasha mockingly. "yeh bataeye, aap mujhse pyaar karte hai ki nahi?"
"Tum bhool rahe ho, kit um Maan Singh Khurana ke saath baat kar rahe ho. Mind your words and think twice before you talk".
"aap mujhse pyaar karte hai ya nahi" sasha repeated ignoring maan's words.
"Nahi!" said maan.
"I'll kill myself if you will not come to me" said sasha wiping her tears.
"do as you please!" said Maan getting up from his chair, "if you think you can black mail me, then let me tell you, you are mistaken".
Sasha took a fork that was on the table and stabbed it hard into her hand and scratched her hand with it. She then took the knife on the table and tried doing the same thing.
Maan looked at her for sometime and said, "Sasha, if you are done, can we leave?"
sasha looked at him in disbelief, "MK, I will not leave you!I will follow you till you tell me that you love me too".
"You know that's not happening, lets go! You have another meeting at 4pm", said maan walking away.
He was furious and sad at the way she behaved. He expected her to be enigmatic and sensible, but with what she had done in the very end, the little sympathy had he had, for the way she felt on being rejected had also been washed away. He wanted to stop thinking about it so he quickly walked into the very first store he saw as he walked out of the restaurant. He did not bother to look back and see what sasha was upto. He did not care. he walked around the toys store for sometime and that's when he bought the soft toy for geet.
Sasha walked out of the mall and since then had started pestering maan with texts and calls, hoping he would melt a little. Little did she know, that Maan Singh Khurana, would never change his mind once he made it up.

1) send dev-tara to antartica or ireland or mars..!!! (place not decided yet, i was thinking of pluto😉...suggestions on their destination welcome, so that i can prepare their itinerary.😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
2) make sasha fall from the stairs and fracture all the bones in the body. well, for that to happen, it has to be a great fall...!!! i'm sure you are going to love this suggestion after this update.
3) get maaneet married. well, as much as I love this idea, i scared you will have to wait a bit for this to happen. hope u understand..!!!! 😛
