these shows makes our expectation higer from regular guys and make us dream of men that dont exist in real world. guys like armaan, maan, aditya from jab we met n many more. we fall for these guys because they are good actors which make us believe in them and we think that someone like them will come in our lives as well. there are loving guys and love stories in real life but nothing compare to the guys in shows or movies. love story shows leaves us with unfulfiled dreams and more wishing it's just too good to be true in real life.

dreams come true but don't expect ur love to be perfect n everything will be alright in my opnion. i mean no one is perfect so why judge the guys so harshly. i use to be a big shahid kapoor fan n use to think he should be my bf n then i grow out of it cuz one of my friends made me realize that cuz she always said negative things about shahid like why i was so crazy about it n it got to me n i started thinking n realized it myself because they are just playing roles on screen n offscreen they are just liek normal guys so whenever i get those thoughts again i am just like it's too good to be true n i am never even gonna see him in real life either. we still have to live with normal guys unless we invent this perfect guy making machine then it's possible. 😆

They EXIST, they really do. i am a living example.

i am married to a " Maan" - but whatever i find attractive in Maan today , i was so put off by it in my husband at that time kai bass. we fought like cat and dogs all the time because i had an attitude problem too.

the reason i love maan is because he remind me of my husband 8 years ago (i was 20 when i got married and he was 26) and the hug scene in the rain - that was us, when i saw that scene - i couldn't believe it - i went into shock mode!!! its sounds unreal when i am actually writing this, but some of the fights and arguments and hand grabbing was quite real for us (not the story - ours was pretty tame) our parents trying to arrange our marriage and me not wanting to get married, he took it personally and decided to pursue!!!

Obviously not exactly Maan - our Maan is just too beautiful for words, and my husband is thoroughly jealous at this time. but i see a similarity and that is what attracts me to this show plus the eye candy :)

These men exist, but they will never be perfect, and you might recognize some traits, but will probably be put off by others that they display more abundantly. so for all you young ins :) look out for a good heart and you will find your Maan.

Agreed completely :)

We fall for these guys because of their looks, their style and the persona they display on screen, but remember that these persona's are written by writers who get their inspirations from real life. these men do exist but as nothing is perfect in this world they might not ooze Maan's hotness or Armaan's vulnerability or Aditya's attitude and selflessness. or they might not be as pretty to look at. but truth be told they have what we want in our dream man, but sometimes we get so bogged down by either looks, or something they have said or done that we don't give them a chance. We women can be pretty harsh when we judge our potential mates sometimes :)

sorry about the rant, i got emotional by this topis - nice topic guys , got me going.

FINALLY i met someone who says they exist..but the situations may not like falling catching...

even I am an example... I am married to an Armaan .... my husband is a total prankster and would do anything for his loved ones .... a gem at heart ... he is christian so had to convince my mom and his mom for marriage and he left no stones unturned... and here u go we are happily married

of course he is not self destructive devdaas like what Armaan has become now ... the AR story had so much resemblance to our story ... that's why I was glued to this series but not now...
but yes I second u Neha .... btw I am also Neha.... these guys do exist

one thing is also there I might not have tolerated a Maan in my life .... he would have definitely put me off .... that's why I love Geet and the attitude of Maan....

so gals look around u might find someone with some traits or maybe all .... but keep your eyes and ears open and don't be fooled by the make belief ones ....

i am very aware of the fact that they are just playing their roles, and the biggest eye opened happened when my favorite actor on screen did infamous things offscreen and shattered the entire image... i have been very guarded since then not to mix the on and off screen persona's... but the way maan has been characterised, its a little hard to resist a man like him... he reminds me of one of those hot, intelligent professors in college, or that sexy charming suave boss, you always crush over... and then know perhaps its never gonna work out anyway and get on with life...
