Yeah - its not all comedy and there is full toofaaaaaaaaaaaan waiting for Geet and Maan as well. And she is living one day at a time and not thinking planning ahead. Though to be fair wit the daily sturggle of survival, she has not had the opportunity to really think things thru

Why should they always take the blame!!!

The Dr'S reaction was disgusting' if that's really how a Dr would react that's unlawful because there should be patient and Dr confidentiality!! People like him have no idea' its easy to talk about someone else and point a finger even though things like that might have happened in there own family or worse things!! Small minded people and its sad for Geet.

Geet was married. Ok it was a fake marriage but it was all legal in her eyes and her family. It was Dev's family who lied. Shouldn't Dev be arrested for committing adultery???? As that's what has been done.

Maan ' I feel bad for him. Its hard for a man to accept another man's child but this child is his brothers so really he is left in the middle because how can he raise his brothers child as his own? Also what is his brother wants to keep the baby? or may wants to fight for custody? (which shouldn't be allowed because he committed adultery but these shows don't show right sometimes!!) what if Dev starts to really love Geet and then Maan gets hurt again??? Its all pretty unfair!!

A great and logical response...although our shows have very less to do with logic!!
And even that moment i was thinking..why doesn't she speak up and say..hey i was married to a guy..in front of my family..and he duped me...why would she not tell the truth..!! That might make the world a less harsher place for her, i was like speak up woman...its not something that you should be ashamed of!!
The doctor's reaction...hmm..it was more like a gossip monger narrow minded uneducated ..and nothing better to do woman..kind of reaction...i doubt that any doctor would react that way!! honestly it was a bit over the board...but i guess dramatization is required to hit the point home
And Dev will face the consequences when and if Geet decides to open her mouth and stand up for it...
About Maan...it is going to be such a blow...he might love geet from the bottom of his heart..but lets face it ...it is so difficult for a man to swallow this fact that the woman he loves is carrying some other man's child...and in this case his own brother's...how intolerable is that going to be...Everytime he gets near Geet, he is going to be reminded of his brother's intimacy with Geet...Maan will have to wage and win this supreme battle ...and i hope and pray he ends up being a true man!!

But there are women who may be going thru such how they conquer is still a mystery. A good factor of this show is they don't loose the track of the main problem.

sanu jaanu...me going nowhere...main wahan tu jahanšŸ˜†
And yes..Geet will have to face many storms in her life...this is nothing to what is going to come up....how such women find the courage to stand up to the whole world..indeed is a mystery. About the show saanu..Geet has started on a different note...thats what i love about this show...( and maneet ofcourse) ...and wish it stays different and unique.....i just hope that they deal with this issue...with realism and sensitivity...and dont end up going the typical telly masala show's way.

Beautifully written babes!!! You have to be very strong to deal with a situation like this and the CV's are showing it sooo perfectly, with the love story, they're actually not forgetting the real concept, which is so great. I totally agree with everything you've said, Awesome yaar!! šŸ‘

Taqdir, can I call you that??? I agree with you that all the time you see women the victim, thats because in our subconscious mind we think we are in a male dominated society. Thats one pov, and the other perspective is if the women is shown the victim then the story is more of interesting to watch as people tend to like it more. after all its business. Right???

But I disagree with you in the front that why a man is not shown...Just watch
"In Pursuit of Happyness"... Its an all in all Will Smith movie and how he struggles when he didn't have shelter, money, food, a kid to look after and above all his wife had left him for another man....this is a true story and there is no love story to back him up emotionally like Geet has.

You will really feel the pain after watching it...

Why should they always take the blame!!! as human beings it's easy for us to judge a situation n give a solution to it. i myself do that😳😳😳But the people who are in knw wht their whole soul goes thru....The show is moving a step by step.........Geet has lost all her light ..........what picture we see often chipy, funny & clumsy r all layers...... beneath this their is a wounded women............ who get's hit by her past at intervals................Revealing truth to those ppl whom she saw/or not in chilhood is a big Q. She does'nt knws her dad indirectly got her shelter n 1st time i saw a elder man tenderly hugging this child-woman 😳😳😳 i was happy neva got that feelin when she hugged her own dad. She is deprived of the basic foundation of all relations'TRUST".

Am myself mad at the Doc but on second thought ..........such ppl r breathing in the society. We come across in articles illegal abortions n all......so such creepy ppl r part of the society......... who in the name & fame of society say a lot wid out giving a second thought.
Geet was married. Ok it was a fake marriage but it was all legal in her eyes and her family. It was Dev's family who lied. Shouldn't Dev be arrested for committing adultery???? As that's what has been done. This is the main root of the story n i guess this will come but not now ............later part of story we r far from it. But i want CV's to remember wht Geet had said on way to Amritsar that she will show Maan & the world some day.
Maan ' I feel bad for him. Its hard for a man to accept another man's child but this child is his brothers so really he is left in the middle because how can he raise his brothers child as his own? (which shouldn't be allowed because he committed adultery but these shows don't show right sometimes!!) what if Dev starts to really love Geet and then Maan gets hurt again??? Its all pretty unfair!! This man has lived in enough in his veil........ fully wooven to protect himself. When he's wid Geet he see's behind it ,almost close to come out but then retorts n goes in. In directly they both have helped each other............ wid their thought's which have pushed them a step ahead..... in life since day 1. As for he accepting kids child. He's a man who can give away alot........... without asking in return. He has failed a lot of times in handling relationships....but the day he will understand the women beneath Geet..... he'll learn all from her.......But i d'nt expect him to have full believe in Geet.......... he's gonna give her pain tooo...........how i d'nt knw. But knwing him he jumps to conclusions way faster than needed especially when it 's his near n dear ones........in that process he's goona hurt himself a lot..............
Both this human beings r gonna love their journey 'coz destiny is always pushing them towards each other!!!!
Dev he has lost a lot but a pity 4r him 'coz he has a family but he never understoood any1 of them.
He's man who is surrounded by love but does'nt values it. the least said the better.

hey doodle...one more factor is ...the audiences of these shows are more women than man...therefore, showing women as central characters and suffering...does get them more identification and instant empathy too... And how i loved that movie...but than again its a hollywood movie and this is an indian telly show...a totally different ball game i guess...they are made for two totally different set of audiencesšŸ˜‰

Yeah Eves, you are right...I actually was thinking to write that explanation but somehow Chulbulli's topic abt. Maan made me forget that...jokes apart

Since the demographics of audiences are different from Indiain Tele and Hollywood, you can't help but putting the victim in female protagonists' shoes. And above all they are not here to make us learn about social issues. They are here for making some good money. Thats why earlier I used to see all the flaws and then slowly slowly learnt to ignore it.

So true its always the Girls fault, its embedded into our Asian society! Hell i wanted to tear the doctor's head off for the way he looked at Geet like she had some disease, where was his hypocritcal oath that he took?? 😔 But i thought it was really nice that the writers also showed us Pinky's dad's reaction of one who believes in humanity and the basic goodness of people. šŸ‘šŸ¼ The class in which he handled that whole situation was beyond touching for me. I wish our society would learn tolerance, for once you have tolerance you gain the insight to see someone else point of views. It was really nice reading other people's take on this subject. Hats off to the person that started this topic....Thanxs way tooo gooooo šŸ‘šŸ¼
