how abt maan doing martial arts and thinking abt geet and he is unable to come out of geet thoughts and finally controls his feelings

and daadima saying him that i know u like geet and daadima giving him lecture like abt love and saying love means not getting the girl but feeling responsible and helping her at every cost coz u love her and love is not a give and take policy and all and also hiding the truth that she knows geets past

maan thinks abt it and stops and 2 days pass and sees geet and cant control his emotions and feels like he is in hell and comes to his house

Part 25- The game gets tougher!!!!

Khurana Mansion: it's 11:30 am. Maan is still sleeping in daadi's lap and daadi does not want to disturb him so continues reading books and newspapers. She knows what exactly to do next and she is pretty sure that nothing can go wrong! She knows the difficulties ahead but like they say, "The course of true love never did run smooth."

Shimla: Dev and Naintara walk into the Khurana constructions office in Shimla and are welcomed by the assistant manager. The assistant manager, Mr. Nanda, is an elderly man who has been working for the Khurana's since 20 years. Dev discusses various issues and the work at hand with him. Mr. Nanda explains everything to him and shows him around the office and the construction site. Dev was pretty pleased with the on-going work and appreciates Mr. Nanda's work. Naintara, seems least interested in everything going on. Finally, when silence falls between the men she speaks up.

"Mr. Nanda, hum yeh janna chahte hai, ki is project ko complete karne ke baad, Dev ko kitna profit share milega?"

"Mrs. Khurana, yeh baat Maan Sir aur Savitri ji decide karenge. Jaha tak main jaanta hoon aapko 40% milega aur maan sir ko 60%. Because he has invested a few hundreds of crores in this land. kaam bhi unhone shuru karya hai."

Naintara and dev both are not happy. "."Yeh kaise ho sakta hai? Dev poora kaam karenge aur share mile ga maan ko? she retorts.

"Mrs. Khurana barso se maan sir saare business sambhalte aaye hai. Unhe pata hoga ki unhe kab kya karna chahiye. Aap unse baat kijiye. Waise bhi yeh aapka ghar ka maamla hai. I don't think I can anything about it."

"Mr. Nanda aap ek kaam kijiye, Accountant se kahiye ya CFO se kahiye ki 60% dev ke account mein transfer kare. Aur 40% maan ke account mein. Project complete hone ke baad."

"lekin mrs. Khurana. Main yeh kaise kar sakta hoon? There's a procedure to be followed. Everything has its own set of rules and we have to abide by them. Jab tak hume officially, in written, notice nahi aata hum kuch nahi kar sakte hai."

"Mr. Nanda, you are forgetting you are speaking to the Khurana's.We make the rules and its official.Do what I've told you to. Don't question or argue."

Mr.Nanda smiles at Naintara's foolishness and her lust for money and power. He simply says with utmost sarcasm, "I'm surprised you are a Khurana- a part of the same family as Maan Singh Khurana. But, anyways, I cannot change anything and that's final."

Nainatare loses it and says , "aap nahi jaante aap kiske saath argue kar rahe hai. You are risking your job."

"I'm only risking my job Ma'am but you are risking everything by playing games against Maan Khurana. Khurana's ko aap sirf teen saal se jaante hai, lekin main unhe bees saal se jaanta hoon. Aur Maan Khurana ko dus saal se jaanta hoon. I've never seen that man bow before anyone or lose to anyone.Please remember that! He does not know what it means to lose and a man like him will never lose no matter how much you scheme against him."

"aap lecture mat dijiye hume. Just do what is asked. Maan khurana's time is going to change. There will come a time when he will lose to us and leave the Khurana Empire to us forever."

"Maan singh Khurana" says Mr.Nanda with utmost pride and respect, "ne moth (death) ke saamne nahi jhuka tuo aap kya cheez hai?Aap chahe tuo mujhe naukri se nikaal sakte but I'm not going against that man. It's tougher than going against death. And not only me, no one who works for him will ever go against him.You can try if you want Mrs Khurana. You can bribe them for your whole property but no one has the courage to do so. It is easier to face poverty and hunger than face maan khurana's anger and wrath especially when he comes to know someone is playing games against him and is betraying him or breaking his trust."

Dev was alarmed when he heard Mr. Nanda's words. He was right. Maan Khurana was not a man to be meddled it. His wife never understood that. And he also remembered the dreadful accident that maan had a few years back, when maan's car was completely destroyed and maan was in coma. The doctors had given up hope but maan came back from the mouth of death and recovered tremendously.

The manager leaves the place leaving a fuming naintara behind.

"himmat tuo dekho inka. Aur aap dev aap hamesha chup kyu rehte hai. Main yaha aapke haq ke liye lad rahi hoon aur aap kade kade tamasha dekh rahe the?"

"nahi sweetheart. He's right. Agar hume maan khurana ko harana hai tuo hume is tarah nahi, dusre raaston ko apnana hoga. Don't lose your temper honey. Thande dimaag se sochthe hai. Abhi abhi tuo shuru kiya maine kaam karna. aage aage dekhenge maan kaise nahi jhukega."

Both of them smile evily at each other.

Khurana Mansion: It's 12pm. Maan wakes up and sees his daadi reading something and that he has been on her lap all this while. He quickly gets up and sits beside her. He looks at her and she looks at him and smiles.

"daadima, aap mujhe uta sakte the."

"kyun? Aap thag gaye the maan. isiliye mann nahi kiya. Ab chaliye baate baad mein karenge.pehle jaake fresh ho jaeye. Let's have lunch."

"kya?lunch ka time ho gaya?" he asks looking at his watch.

"haan Maan. Now hurry!"

Maan hurried to the outhouse and quickly took a shower. Momentarily he had forgotten what had happened in the early hours of the morning. All he could think of then was that his daadima had not eaten anything since morning because she was waiting for him to wake up.He quickly made his way to the mansion again. Daadi was already at the dining table. She decided not to talk anything about what happened yesterday or what happened between him and geet. Instead she tried to make the conversation very light and easy for him. She talked about all the stock market news and politics and sports. She was actually surprised maan was listening to her and even responding to her. She was glad that the conversation did not remain a monologue. She was also happy that temporarily she could get his mind off the troubles or pain he was going through when he came to her this morning.

Maan has a really filling lunch and complains to his daadi that he is still sleepy. She looks at him and laughs. He smiles back too. She asks him to go and sleep for some more time if he wants. He asks her to wake him up in like 2 hours. She agrees. Maan leaves to the outhouse. On his way, he sees his maid carrying white roses into the mansion. That instantly reminds him of geet. He remembers her words last night. The pain and grief return to him as though they never left him!
