Maan's hurt feelings were perfectly explained. So Geet respects him but in an unknown way, he also means the world to her.

Well, since the bitter truth is finally revealed, we can look forward to realization on Geet's part in the coming updates!

Part 24- Daadi- Savior in disguise???

Maan felt like holding her tight in his arms for some reason. He never feared losing anything in his life but for the first time when she was walking away he felt he was losing something. Why did he think she was walking away from him forever? Why did he feel she can never be his and his alone?

He quietly turned to open the car door. He wanted to tell her to come back as she was taking his life away with him while walking away from him. He suddenly realized someone patted him from behind. Without turning back he asked, "Geet tum ab tak nahi gayi? kuch aur sunne himmat nahi hai geet mujh mein. Please mujhe akela chod do kuch der ke liye."

Geet slowly turns him holding his arm. "Sir, main tuo yahan thanks kehne aayi thi.lekin aap kafi pareshaan hai."

"geet please.just leave. I don't want to lose my temper right now."

"sir theek hai. Bas ek minute" and she hugs him. He does not hold her back though he wanted to hug her real badly. While holding him she tells him, "thanks maan. aaj aapko sab kuch bata diya maine.mann halka ho gaya. Hamesha ki tarah aaj bhi aapne mera saath diya.woh shaadi bale hi jhooti thi lekin aap ne mujhe samaj ne ki koshish ki"

She again spoke about her marriage. Maan did not want to hear those words ever again in his life-shaadi, pregnant etc etc. He wanted to leave. But she was not allowing him. Her coming closer to him hurt him more now. She did not seem to understand. Her one truth tore his life to pieces and his heart that had just learnt to beat for her was slowly dying.

She moved away from his arms and tells him, "ab main aur pareshaan nahi karungi. Aap jaeye."

He gets into the car and sees her standing there. He opens the window and signals her to go in. She gestures him to go first. He gets irritated. "geet, Just go in. Jab tak tum andar nahi jaoge tab tak main yaha se nahi hiloonga."

Not wanting to irritate him any further she walks inside the gate and closes it and maan drives away. Ride back home was very boring for him. He kept thinking of what geet told him. He could not think beyond that. He put the AC in full blast despite which he was sweating profusely. He switched on the radio but that could not distract him too. Frustrated he simply pedaled the accelerator and found himself driving at 200km/hr. even that did not disturb him. He finally reached home and looked at the time; it was 5:00 am. He walked slowly to the outhouse. All his moments with geet kept flashing back-his first dance with her, his first hug in the jungle, the first time he met her, the first time she cuddled on his shoulder in the conference room-everything kept coming back to him. But he also kept remembering geet's words that she is married and pregnant. He stands at the door of the outhouse but does not feel like going in.

He simply walks to the mansion. He walks straight to daadi's room. She was awake and reading some book. She looked up at him as he walked in.

"Maan, aap soye nahi. Kaafi tired lag rahe hai aap.koi pareshaani?"

Maan was in no mood to answer her questions. He just did not want to be alone and that's why he was with his daadi. Daadi understands that he is disturbed and waits for him to say something.

"daadima please koi sawal mat kijiye. Main jawab nahi de paunga."

"theek hai maan."

Maan sits at the foot of the bed on the floor and rests his head on her bed. Daadi completely understands that something terrible has happened otherwise maan singh khurana would never look so lost and gloomy.

"maan aap neeche kyun bait gaye. Yaha aaeye, hamare paas."

"nahi daadima main yaha theek hoon. Mujhe bas aapke saath thodi der ke liye rehna hai.please"

"ofcourse" she says and closes her book, leaves her glasses on the side table and gets out of the bed to sit by him on the floor.

She knows it must be something connected to geet; but does not question him any further. She had the confidence that he would tell her everything at the right time. He slowly lies down on her lap and closes his eyes. She remembers he had done this twenty years before when his mother passed away. She has tears in her eyes but controls them. Twenty years later, another woman had probably given him much more pain than his mother. No, she was not talking about geet here, she was referring to naintara.

She looked at his troubled face. She was worried if maan came to know about geet's past. She re-collected the contents of the email she received a few days back. It had marriage photos of geet and dev. After secretely listening to dev and naintara's fight over the dining table a few days back like maan, she too had suspected something fishy must have happened in the two months they were not here. How else could dev clear his debts so soon? She immediately called pammi and blackmailed her to tell her the truth. Pammi had initially refused to open her mouth but eventually had to give in to daadi's pressure. Daadi remembered the phone conversation –

"savitri devi, delhi se."

Pammi- "ji sasuma. Kaise hai aap. Bahut din ke baad phone kiya."

Daadi- "Pammi. Obviously I have not called to ask you about your well-being. You know that. Aap pehle hume yeh bataeye. Dev do mahino mein saare debts clear kaise kiya?"

Pammi was silent. Daadi had immediately noticed that something definitely went wrong.

"humne aapse kuch poocha hai. Hume jawab chahiye."

"ji woh, dev business kiya tha."

"oh really?business. kaunsa business Pammi ji?"

Pammi's voice wavered. She could not speak anything.

"ek baar agar maan ko pata chala ki aap sab ne mil kar koi khel khela, tuo aap jaante hai kya ho sakta hai?"

"nahi maa. Chote saab se kuch mat kehna. Main aapko sab sach bata doongi."

"hume aap pe yakeen nahi hai pammi. Aap is baat ko pichle tees saal se jaante hai.isiliye hume thos saboot (evidence) chahiye."

"jee ma. Main aapko sab kuch email kar doongi. Please ma is baar ke liye dev ko chod dijiye."

"woh baat hum nahi, khurana empire ke maalik, maan singh khurana decide karenge" and hangs up.

She had then received an email that had photos of dev and geet, and information about how dev had managed to get the land and escape leaving geet at the airport. Daadi also concludes that the mastermind to all this was naintara-her sweet daughter in law who's innocent smiles could betray anyone on the planet.

Daadi could not believe that geet was the same girl maan is in love with. But she was helpless. Before she could do anything, maan had completely fallen in love with geet. And she also knew that geet was not at fault. It was her other grandson who was at fault. She had felt like kicking dev and naintara out of the house and out of Khurana Empire but she realized that she had to cleverly plan her moves. She wanted to tell maan the truth but she could not break his heart. She also guessed that one wrong move from her side would cost both maan and geet their lives. She did not want to lose maan or geet. Maan was her pride, her shadow, her strength and also her weakness. He was more of a son to her than a grandson and she had shared a bond with him that she did not even have with her son-maan's father. Geet on the other hand, was a lady who changed maan into a human-being from a rock.

She looked at maan who was asleep in her lap. She kissed him on his forehead and silently apologized to him. "I am sorry maan. I had to keep this truth away.I saw your love for geet .But I promise maan nothing will go wrong-not after today!I'm going to keep both you and geet happy and give whatever it takes to do so-even if it costs me my life."

Maan caught her hand and spoke in his sleep, "daadima aapko kuch nahi hoga." She was shocked and tears rolled down her cheeks. She kept looking at him and remembered every moment with him. She also remembered her first conversation with geet. She did not understand how geet and maan had met. That was something that she was yet to find out. What forced geet to come to Delhi after she was stranded in the airport? She had to fill in the gaps to the missing puzzle in order to plan her future moves. But who would help her out with this?

Maan would completely be shattered the day he finds out that his younger brother ruined the life of the girl he was deeply and madly in love with. But there was no way out. Maan had to face the truth. He had to face the consequences. Geet, how would she react when she knows maan and dev are brothers? Daadi realized she had an extremely painful, difficult and dangerous task in hand-a task that involved heart breaks, love, deception and money.
