Hi geet forum members :) , I am a newbie to IF as well just for this series.

Yep it was not a statement out of humor ....it was like ..that he is now frustrated fighting with his feelings for geet and she is regularly making things difficult for him.
He just wanted to stay away from her and she is getting more closer ...it was defo pain in his eyes ...he has a past with flowers .....so it means ..ladki ka hi chakkar hai .....his past def has to do with some girl and NT loves roses ...ishaara wahi jaata hai ....nahin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this series, geet, and started watching it by accident.

I have a feeling the male lead characterization is based off a south indian movie where the lead hates girls because he wrongly believes he was cheated before by a girl he was head over heels in love with. Many years later he is dealing with new feelings for a girl he works with who is enaged to someone else. This makes him so angry even without realizing and he doesnt know why he feels this way. He realizes that he unknowingly fell in love again but cant do anything about it. During this turmoil, he finds out, that his first love hadnt cheated him but had died which was kept from him. And then he decides to follow his heart and ends up marrying this time.

I could be wrong but the whole characterization of the male lead is so similar.

Either way this male lead, gurmeet :), is just uber cool. lking him loads and loads and loads. Sigh!😳

As much as ppl think Geet is the 1st girl in Maan's life, I tend to be skeptical.

1. Recall how Munshi ji said to Maan "ab aap bhi shaadi kar lete"
2. Maan hates women "yeh auratein" (we've seen the earful he's given Geet)
3. Whenever Geet tells Maan that no one can ever like him, he has a lot of pain.
4. His hatred for white roses
5. The pain he had in his eyes when he asks Geet to leave with the roses
6. His line to Dev "pyaar jaise wahiyaat emotions"-> he must have been hurt badly
7. Interestingly Maan hasn't married, yet his younger bro is married.

Seems like Maan himself isn't aware that his feelings for Geet are beyond care, sympathy, and protection. Looks like he doesn't want acknowledge them.

Totally agree i think when maans story about hes past is shown everything will make sense in terms of him and dev being brothers. Really hope hes got nothing to do with that bhootni aka naintara haha.. Its all about maneet! 😊
