My thoughts too but we googled and turns out in rare cases, identical twins do happen to be of different sexes. That's when one has XY chromosomes and other has X0 chromosomes and not XX or XY.

Her point was that the identical twins are generally of same gender. So answer of male & female are not valid in that case. Her answer was mother who had named them but I don't approve of that since I had clearly written in the question that you have heard their names. Now, if they are actually identical, you can't identify them alone (guessed) by their names for the first time (not even their mother) unless they are male or female names. Actually I shouldn't write "identical" in the question.

So what's the final possible answer I have thought of then?

Q4. Two identical twins whom you had never seen but heard their names. But on seeing them for the first time, you could guess who is who. Tell me how?

: The identical twins are adults & they were present on their professional uniform along with their name tags.
