Vikas was over confident about Fanaah. He relied more on his actors popularity rather than the story and execution.

They used flash backs to drag the story line which was a bad move. Flashback's lose their touch when you repeat them in every episode.

Also, why use the same FB scene? They could have shot for different scenes which could have been used as FB. I saw one episode where they showed young ViDha's FB and when I watched another episode after 3 weeks, same FB was repeated. Im sure ViDha must have spent a lot of time together, so why show the same scene again and again. Same was done for Preet-Anshuman scenes.

why comparing with other shows..?? 😕

though i started watching this show just for kundra... I haven't seen the epis on regular basis ..
still felt like commenting here...

accdg to the article... the show is not going off air because of poor rating right??

n it is going to come back soon... so why comparing with other on going n off air shows??

in terms of actors... fanaah.. had a great bunch of actors... they all did a fab!! chetna needs to improve though... hope she gets replaced in the next season 😛

May have been mutual understanding, but I read all the makers interviews since Fanaah buzz started and those were about Rithvik and Karan and keeping the focus on them

And I've said on page 1 itself, I had two reasons - the story being a drag was the other primary reason it didn't work for me.

Also, as far as ratings is concerned, I'm not sure if that's an issue, because MTV isn't a GEC so their target audience is different. They probably look at social media buzz, feedback etc. on their shows.

Well it wud have still turned out to be a drag if they just kept showing werewolves story, so starting from scratch for 2014 track is perfect where the creatives can improve from past mistakes and most importantly replace Chetna...and i disagree with some of your points but let it be..

Yes why are we comparing with Kaisi Ye yaariyaa?

Mtv has certain niche audience who watch shows like Splitsvilla and KYY has splitsvilla stars so its not a surprise if its popular bcos Splitsvilla this season is very popular among youth and doing exceptionally well..

Fanaah at times i felt doesnt fit in the scheme of shows that Mtv audience usually see so that is a disadvantage too..

And some of you are making it sound that Fanaah was very bad this season but sorry i dont agree i loved watching it..

Fanaah had its share of mistakes but i really enjoyed watching it overall..

And specially the last week's episode were super rocking and indeed very gripping and kept me wanted for more and infact i m so really excited for the episode tomorrow, its precap was amazing...

Its easy to criticise but hard to make so stop it please, remember the good things about the show and i m hopeful next season will be even better and hopefully mistakes will be rectified...

hey kesha (hope i am correct in taking the name😳) great topic . 👏 i totally agree to you . see the main reason for me watching the show was only rithvik 😃 but i knew it that he would come few weeks later , so i wanted to watch fannah for the story but i didn't got connected to it as i wanted. i was the one who made a topic over here saying that fanaah should not be compared to any other shows and let's just enjoy it , but the fact is after almost 1 1/2 months of watching not only me but many other people didn't liked it and the reason is not rithvik's absence only but also with the loose storyline. when i heard of the show going off air , i made a post on arvi/ashvik AT on pr forum , hope you don't mind if i post it here. here it is:

ok so fannah is going off air 🤔 well i have quite a mix feeling for this news 😕

well from the beginning i was quite in dillema weather to be happy or sad of the news of rithvik's comeback through fannah.

the things that were positive for me in this show was rithvik's being in the youth show even after doing almost a 40-50 years old man in pr and the other factor was vidhyut's character which looked quite powerful from the promos.

i followed fannah and i tried to connect with the storyline but as uma di said it didn't strike the chord . i was a viewer and a die hard fan of pkyek but still i wanted to enjoy fannah but it wasn't making me eager to watch the episodes.

at some points of time i felt that they are dragging the storyline too much plus every scene looked quite dark . and to be honest if fannah would have came on channel V instead of MTV then it could have connected to the public more , i feel.

the thing that bothered me for rithvik in this show were many . first , this show has multiple protagonist . second , even though the story has promised to focus on everyone but the main love story is of vivan and dhara(karan and chetna) vidhyut might play a powerful and important character but if we look at the big picture vidhyut will be the third wheel in the main love story of the show. i know this is pinching truth but that's what it is.

i have been to pkyek forum and till date people are asking for it's season 2 and i don't have to explain the craze that it created from beginning, but fannah was somewhere lacking i feel , it was not able to create that much craze.

but i must say that the star cast was awesome (apart from chetna 🥱) and it was due to the starcast only that people had given a chance to the show . rithvik and karan were well used for the show's publicity.😡

i find this reason very lame that due to actors being unwell the show is pulled off air . isn't the show suppose to be a story of multiple protagonist and different timelines and eras , so if two actors were absent they could have easily managed the storyline with other stories and eras but instead they shut it off. 😕 now i have a serious doubt that it's season 2 might come or not 🤢

i just hope rithvik grabs a lead role in a good show with great concept and strong character in a established channel. 😊

well regarding the issue that vidhyut's character is not shown because rithvik had gone to cape town , then i don't find logic in it.

the showing of vidhyut's character or not showing , rithvik will shoot or not is not in rithvik's hand but it is in the hands of vikas and the creatives of the show . rithvik can't force them to shoot his scenes . the way story was moving they could have abruptly take a leap and show the 2014 era with vidhyut , avni , preet and anshuman and after ratan and karan gets well they may show them again , and then the back up story of what happened before 2014 and how everything changed , this could have made people more eager to watch and know what happened .

rithvik is a multi tasker , at times he handles 3-4 shows at a time . even when he went to cape town to shoot for a life risking show like d2d , he was shooting for yeh hai aashiqui side by side . so it was not a difficult thing for him if vikas would have asked him to shoot for fannah before leaving for cape town .

and according to one of the interviews of rithvik he clearly told that the story will go back and forth in time and different eras , so i still don't see the reason of rithvik's absence for so long from the show.

i don't know vikas much . but don't get me wrong but i never got a good vibe from that person , i don't know why .😕 don't think that i am saying this because rithvik was not present in fannah but i actually never liked him much.

but coming to work , he did really great in many shows , i guess he was also a part of pkyek , so i was really hopeful that he may bring out something really new in this show , but nothing happend .

i agree to the point that he was quite over confident for the show and believed that having a powerful and strong actors who also have huge star value and fan following will make the show a hit but that's a stupid thought. a strong story make ordinary people stars and if the story is weak then even the biggest stars of tellywood , bollywood and hollywood can't do anything.

one thing that also made me think is that the script of the show was already planned , they just have to divide it in seasons but now we hear that they are making changes in the script , few actors might not be a part of the show and actors like rithvik who was hugely used by the makers of the show said that he will have to read the script to see if he wants to do the show or not.

i just don't understand these things , just want rithvik to get what he deserves other than just using him for creating buzz for the show

Hey.. I compared it for 2 reasons-
1-It comes from the same PH on the same channel yet has better execution.
2-I felt it was unfair to call Fanaah a flop based on the activity of this forum alone.

I agree with you KYY has Splitsvilla stars & Splitsvilla has been topping the charts this season.

And I don't say the show was totally bad. It has had its high & low moments. But after a while it got a little boring for me till the entry of Karan. I was still religiously following the show.. couldn't afford to miss it.
And after the leap I did have problem with the direction & characterization specially..& they could have cut down on at least 2-3 weeks of the story so far.
