Anita Hassanandani slips and falls into a lake

Anita Hassnandani, who plays Preet in Fanaah, had a fall while shooting for an action sequence recently.

Says Anita, "I was shooting a funeral sequence, and I was wearing a heavy Benarasi sari. There was wind and rain, and I also had to perform some stunts. I slipped and fell into the lake. Since I was wearing a sari, it was quite messy. I sprained my leg, but I'm okay now."

Anita is quite kicked about playing a witch in the series. "It's one of the most powerful characters I've ever gotten to enact. Preet is quite fashionable, and she is a crazy character," she says. So, does Anita believe in the paranormal? "Honestly, no. But, Vikram Bhatt used to tell me several spooky stories while we worked on Andhera. I prefer not to believe in the paranormal; especially since I shoot at nights," she laughs.
