Dev and kaajal walked into the coffee shop and sat down. When the waitress asked for their order kaajal ordered a Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate and dev ordered a Caff Americano. When kaajal was about to take her money out dev put a hand out to stop her, and gave the lady a credit card.
At the table kaajal confronted dev about the money
Dev-well I couldn't let you pay for it; after all it is our first date
Kaajal raised an eyebrow-wait what? Date?
Dev-well what else do you call this?
Kaajal-I call this drinking coffee with you, cant a girl and guy go in a coffee shop just to drink coffee? Does it always necessarily have to be a date?
Dev- well?no..not necessarily?
Kaajal-ok then, but if you insist on paying for the ,I don't mind me (she said laughingly)
Dev laughed-its no problem
They both talked for a while and dev learned that kaajal probably wanted to pursue a career in fashion designing or cosmetology.
Dev thought kaajal was very intresting, the way she was ready to start a fight with him at the mere words he'd say like reading is for nerds, or how if a guy and girls were friends, it was always the girls who expect more.
It made dev curious how she wasn't the least bit interested in him, usually he was used to girls swooning over him, and flirting with him, but her?no she was different.
Dev- have you ever tried debate?
Kaajal-what? As an elective or something?
Dev-yea
Kaajal-not really why?
Dev-because it think you'd be a good person to debate against
Kaajal grinned at his compliment/suggestion and sipped her coffee
Kaajal-instinctively looked at her phone for incoming texts, but It was broken, She took it in her hand and stared at it miserably
Dev- why don't you get a new phone?
Kaajal-I wish, but my dad just bought me this, hell freak when he sees this broke, I don't know what to do
Dev-let me see it
He took the phone from her hand and examined it, he looked into kaajal's hopeful face and didn't want to upset her
Dev-tell you what, I know someone who can probably help you with fixing the phone
He was about to hand the phone to her but then kept it with him

Kaj- oh really? Thank you so much! You have no idea how much trouble your going to save me from!

Then something just struck kaajal

Kt saw an unfamiliar number on her phone and wondered who it would be

They hung up and kt turned around to the girls

So they waited for a while sat down with all their shopping after a few minutes kaajal appeared with a really cute guy by her side.
All the girls exchanged glances and grinned and giggled.
Kajjal- im so sorry di,I know im late but the line was huge and then my fone broke and?
Kt-baad main kaajal-she looked by her side and saw dev standing with his hands in his pockets

All the girls started giggling and kajjal rolled her eyes
Kt turned to talk to kaajal to give her a good scolding

Everyone started walking towards the mall exit and started walking towards the car in the parking lot while talking
Kaajal-that's very nice par I have to stay there for quite a while aur I need a ride home too.
Dev-its ok,ill stay there with you, vaise bhi I need to do something at the library too
Kt-are you sure dev?'
Dev-yea I was heading there myself, (dev prayed to god in his head for forgiveness for this lie,he just wanted to spend some time with kaajal) so if kaajal doesn't mind she can come with me and ill drop her at the apartment too

Kt- yes sure, kaajal doesn't mind! That would be very helpful of you, thank you.
Dev-no problem
Kaajal was hesitant going of with dev, alone, in his very nice car.
While walking the other way to hi car kaajal was thinking of all the reasons she didn't want to go with him
Kaajal in her mind-ok first of al I hardly know him! and I cant keep him there for hours and hours while I have to work on my work and he'd probably be done with his. But what if he can't be trusted? What if he makes a move..?
Kaajal don't be ridicules! You're just being paranoid ever since the recent attacks.
Kaajal shuddered thinking of all the murders and attacks while she sat into dev's car.
Dev sat in his seat started the car and asked-are you cold?
Kaajal realized he must of saw her shiver she told him ?no im fine
It was a quiet and awkward ride. She didn't know why but she felt her cheeks burn and her heat race.
None ever had this impact on her, but dev's charm, smile made kaajal's heart pitter patter
Dev didn't know how to break the awkward silence,put on the radio?but wat if she didn't want to listen,start a conversation? Yea I think I should talk..

Kt dropped the girls at shivanis house to hang out and got ready for her date with laksh.
She wore this suit with her straight hair down and open
She got in the car and drove to the place laksh told her to meet him

She pulled into the driveway which was like a long cement arch-hill type thing.
She saw laksh lookg incredibly dashing waiting for her in a black suit with black pants a a blue shirt under
He smiled when he saw kt and walk torwards her. Kt felt like her heart skipped a beat maybe even two. He looked great.
Laksh walked to the car and opened the car door and held his hand out for her hand. Kt gave him her hand and got out of the car. She turned to laksh and saw him staring at her in awe.
She smiled and blushesd
Laksh was beyond words,kt looked amazing.how did she do it?whenever he sees her,she makes his heart go haywire.
Kt-laksh?ab chale?
He got out of his day dream and pulled out a blindfold from his coat pocket.
Kt-ye kya hai?
He only smiled and went behind her and blindfolded her.

He held her around the shoulders and led her to his surprise.

Laksh-sabar karo meri maa bas ek aur minute.
He let her go and adjusted something

Kt let out an impatient sigh
Laksh finally opened her blindfold and kt saw the surprise
Kt- oh my god!
She looked back at laksh and he was smiling
Kt-u did this for me?..wow?i..you?
Kt had tears in her eyes and hugged laksh
Laksh-kya hua kt? Tumhe acha nahi laga?
Kt-acha?bhout acha! Thank you soo much laksh!main..tum..i?this?
Laksh broke kt off and kissed her full on the lips passionately and kt kissed back
Laksh then led her to the table in the middle of the garden that decorated with beautiful flowers. He pulled out a chair for her and then pulled one out for him.
Laksh ordered a tasty yet simple dinner for the date. They both ate and talked. Kt was so happy and kept smiling and laughing.

after dinner they both had a long walk together, kt walked along with her head on laksh's shoulder
They were both silent but yet the silence wasn't an awkward silence. It was a silence that spoke everything. It spoke kt's happiness and love and spoke laksh's care and affection.
Kt and laksh sat under a tree and gazed at the black star-studded sky.
Kt laid her head in laksh's lap.
Kt- pata hai laksh,I haven't gazed at the stars in such a long time. Kabhi fursat hi nahi mili. Aur vaise bhi new york main asmaan pe sirf factories ki dhuan,and just black. Jab main yahan move hui thi to I didn't excpect such a great sky view maine socha same hi hoga,star-less skies. This place is really amazing laksh.
Kt pecked laksh on the lips and snuggled in his arms.
Laksh nuzzled kt's hair and buried his face in her scent
After a long silence kt asked- laksh?
Laksh-hmm?
Kt turned to laksh- laksh do you think they will catch him soon?
Laksh didn't have to ask who she was talking about.
Laksh looked at kt, she had a far away look on her face, a look of pain
Laksh-yes kt,they will find him,and catch him and punish him for all the murders he did!
Kt sighed-u think so?
Laksh-I promise,he will pay!
Kt felt reassured by his voice full with promise and comfort. She shifted her head on laksh's lap so she could be more comftrable

At shivanis house the party had started and noor,zinu,shivani,roshni, carly, farrah,and andrea(some more ppl from college) were enjoying themselves.
After a couple hours of Dancing to music, doing each others hair and watching movies
Shivanis aunt came in the room to tell the girls that food was ready
noor- its so kool how u live with your aunt and she school with everything
Shivani-yea my parents wouldn't sned me to college without anyone keeping an eye on me! She was already living here so she bought a place near college and offered to keep me,I thought itd suck,but shes pretty kool

After they ate pizza and some of her aunts appetizers shivani put on a saas bahu drama for her aunt and ushered all the girls in her room.

Shivani threw one back but it hit farrah and thus a big pillow fight started.after thwacking each other hard with the pillows the girls, they just laid down and told stories..ghost stories..Embarassign stories?horrible hair days?and baatein karte karte they fell asleep.

After finally winning the debate in his head how to end the awkwardness he reached out to put the radio on,but when he looked up he was too preoccupied in his thoughts and were less than walking distance from the library.
He pulled in the library and told kaajal to go inside, after was out of sight he banged his head against the steering wheel and assured himself to stay calm and confident.
After about an hour and a half of looking at kaajal trying to cram all the book info on her poster and research and pictures (well he was supposedly supposed to be working on his English essay but couldn't resist)..Kaajal was finally done.
Even though he offered his help, she refused and told him she could do it by himself. Looked like it wasn't her first time cramming things on last minute. On the way to her dorm dev suggested if she wanted to listen to the radio
Kaajal-yea sure
He put the radio on and at first the song that came on started out slow and clam but in the middle started screaming and shouting the words. Kaajal couldn't take more of it after about a minute she turned it off.
Kajal- im sorry I just cant listen to it my head hurts
Dev-well sorry..it just so happens to be the fav song of my fav band?
Kaajal- what song? You call those screaming words as ong?

Kaajal was getting frustrated she was fighting with a guy who insulted her music taste called her ignorant and wont shut up about his stupid punk goth music.
Kaajal-ignorant!? Your ignorant! Calling me ignorant! Hmmph!
For a while thing were quite,the both rode in silence.
While dev was driving, a group of motorcycles cut them off and dev had to press hard on the break for a very sudden stop.
Kaajal hit her head on the dashboard because of the impact of the stop.
Dev-are you ok?
Kaajal-yea yea im fine
Kaajal moved some hair away from her face and dev saw that she must've hit her head harder than he though for it was bleeding.
Dev moved closer to kaajal to examine her wound, kaajal looked at dev and saw that he was just inches away from each other. She felt a blush creping up her cheeks and hope dev wouldn't notice.
Kaajal-what are you doing?
Dev-your hurt..
Kaajal-main theek hoon
Dev-your bleeding
Kaajal-was clutching her head a bit a way from her wound she was about to touch it but dev grabbed her hand
She felt her heart leap into her throat and it seemed to be stuck there.
Devs hands felt warm against hers.
Dev realized he was holding her hands and let goed
Dev-oh..umm..dont touch it..itll get infected..are we almost to your dorm?
Kaajal-um..yea just pass this red light
Dev-do you have any first aid box in your room or anything?
Kaajal- yes I do..but im fine..really?
The signal turned green and dev started driving again
Kaajal pressed her fingers lightly against the big bump on the top of her forehead,itt was tender and hurt and the cut by it stinged but she didn't want dev to know that she was weak or not able to handle pain or anything.
Dev walked kaajal to her dorm and insited that he look at that nasty cut.
He put kaajal on the sofa, and got the ice and aid box where she told him it would be. He lightly put the ointment on with extreme delicacy, as if she wre to break into two.
Kaajal felt his hand rub ever so gently on her cut making sure that he wouldn't press to hard to hurt her.
The whole time kaajal kept insisting she fine but dev ignored her and proceeded to bandage her up.
After he put the little bandage on her his hand lingered there for an extra moment.
Dev was going crazy, he was so close to kaajal yet so far. She was so beautiful, and smelled so sweet. And with there faces inches apart there was only so much a guy could handle!
Dev-im sorry again for driving so carelessly I hope it doesn't hurt
Kaajal-dev how many times should I tell u? Im fine, really!
Dev- u sure?
Kaajal-yes
Dev-well I have to go?take care ok?
Kaajal led him to the door and said- I will bye
She closed the door behind her and slept on her bed thinking about what had just happen
What had actually happened?

About 1 week later and after much much convincing (to laksh) kt moved out and back into her dorm.

Studies were going well,kt was doing better in math because of laksh's tutoring and dev and kajjal had somehow become friends but argued a lot.

Kt went to her dorm and there she saw her room mate with a thick envelope.

Kourt-I don't know I was checking the mail and this envelope came for u
Kt didn't recognize the handwriting her name and address was written in
She looked for a return address but there wasn't any
Kourt-so whos it from?
Kt- i?I don't know?
Kourt-well you find out I have to go meet Jake, ill be out late, so don't lock the door.
Kt murmured a bye and put her attention back the strange envelope/
Kt thinking-what's in this envelope?..o well..only one way to find out..
She opened the envelope and took the contents out. There were many many pictures in it.
She looked at the pictures and the color drained from her face. She felt herself hold her breath and felt as if the whole room was spinning.
Kt- oh..my..god?
From one picture to another..each one made kt more distraught. She couldn't look at it anymore and put it away.
She had tears in her eyes and realized she was holding her breath. She let it go and read the letter that came with it.
After she read it, kt was more scared/shocked if it was possible. Her face had become white as her bed sheets.
She plopped on the bed and just sat there
Kt thinking-who could have send these..why?..who would do this? this is unreal..this cant be happening..
She felt sick and went to the bathroom and threw up.
She felt horrid?she didn't know what to think..how to think..no she couldn't tell anyone..the letter..!
Kt-wat do I do! O god..wat do I dooo?
